Because he's more concerned with being seen as the best Sky Sports man and supposedly unbiased pundit then he is with anything else.

Think he tries far too hard to show that he's impartial, to they point that he actually loses the impartiality in favour of the opposing team.

Too bad Carragher is a far better pundit and can still be biased to his own team which shows how bad of a job Neville is doing.

Thinking it was a foul in the lead up isn’t that controversial. There is a clear case for it, depending on your views on how much contact signifies a foul. Because there was clear contact.

He's paid by SKY. They want to push a certain narrative and he obliges.

So he's either sucking Ole off by being too kind to him in analysis/interviews wants United to fail. Can't be both

He’s a prick. Bloke was practically giddy that Liverpool scored. He’s been hanging around Carragher too long.

He seem to celebrate lallana's goal. What's wrong with him?

He’s an idiot that’s why. One who loves the sound of his own voice too.

Because he wants to be seen as unbiased and balanced when all he does is go the other way.

Seems pretty neutral to me.

Just a United fan trying to do a job that requires him not to be a United fan...

The giddiness in his voice when Lallana scored, pure joy.

In contrast he's willing the ref to disallow Rashford's goal.

His media career has tarnished his legacy for us.

Except that Carragher is quite neutral. Gary is just a twat; Ferguson has said as much about him in not as many words.

The problem is everything is exaggerated. He used to make a lot of good points, but now everything is taken to the extreme and it’s almost like he’s just trying to create something for Sky to talk about. Then when he is commentating, he won’t let the subject go for about half an hour.

Genuinely couldn’t care about supposed bias, for or against. Would rather he just tried to offer helpful analysis instead of ranting about any half controversial moment.

Some people need to pack it in, some embarrassing comments already.

He’s paid to do a job and be impartial, it annoys people which is pretty pathetic. He wanted us to win that and if you think any different you’ve got an agenda.

Seriously. What is this narration from the caf residents that G.Neville is supporting United to fail?

I would tend to agree with this (though the annoyance is understandable). He’s on the sky sports payroll, he’s always been a duty first person, that’s why SAF made him captain, because he could trust Gary to try and do exactly what SAF wanted.
The real problems are 1. He’s not the greatest pundit; and 2. I doubt he’s being paid solely to be what the caf would consider and objectively good pundit, since sky is digging for controversies.
I can’t see any reason to genuinely believe that a lifelong manc former captain doesn’t actually like or support united anymore. He just is on a different payroll now.

He celebrated the goal just like the rest of us. But it did appear like he wanted the goal to be disallowed after they saw the replay of Lindelofs perfect challenge.
