Why is Ole allowing himself to be used like this?

Or, give a player you’re stuck with a vote of confidence and a chance to prove himself once again.
A vote of confidence is announcing this in the summer, quietly and succinctly at a time when all the anger can be diluted over literal months and distractions, such as the Euros, are in place allied to other transfers in/out.

Declaring this at the end of a transfer window where no signings might be coming in, has fans baying for blood (both Sanchez's and Ole's with a little bit of pushback going to Woodward/Glazers) and puts them into a state they were not just what, 7hrs ago?

If you can actually put a spin on this that stands up to scrutiny, I will be more than impressed.

You think ole loves the club sooo much he's gonna forgo 7.5m dollar a year? And another 7.5 in severance pay?

We all assume ole loves united that much, we all love united. But given 7.5m I'd be a city supporter and kiss their badge in a heartbeat
I will watch Agueroooooooooooooo moment all day on a loop in a Steven Gerrard shirt while stroking klopp's beard for that money.

Ole won't complain to the owners or call them out and demand for signings because he's a nice guy in his dream job so he will work with whatever the owners give him and manage what he has. He also believes we're going through a rebuild and it takes time so he doesn't want to force it.

He's the perfect candidate for the board and this rebuild idea. If we fail on the pitch, Ole will say it's a rebuild and the players are injured or young when he should be demanding for more players. If we don't sign anyone, Ole will say he's waiting for the right fit or clubs don't want to sell or Pereira can replace Herrera

Ole is planning long-term and with so many fans already against him, he will not look to have confrontations with the board. At the end of the day, they will sack him pretty much like they sacked all the "world-class", "proven", "winner" managers that we had.

The idea of him being "used" is not accurate. The board haven't been exactly the best in terms of relationship with the fans etc or by showing a proper structure to the way the club is run, but this is the same board who got Pogba for a world record fee, Maguire in the biggest deal for a defender, Wan-Bissaka, Ibrahimovic, Sanchez, Lukaku, Mkhitaryan, Falcao, Di Maria, Matic (I am just mentioning the "big" names we got) So as fans we cannot really say we haven't been spoilt with "known"/"proven" players over the past 7 years but the main issue is that the core of the squad was aging (Carrick, Rooney and co) so we needed someone to build that "core" again, all of the previous manager never did that, so we are where we are today because of that.

The original issue to this shithole Ole is in dates back to 7 years when the club thought that the players SAF left were good enough but in fact it was SAF's tactical, experience and management brilliance (+ the signing of RVP) that got us that title. A squad overhaul should have been done back then. Instead, every manager that came (post Moyes let's say as he only got Fellaini back then) continued their shopping spree of players without doing a proper clearout (or they shipped the wrong players out and keept the shit players in).

The only manager of all this bunch who made us watch and play entertaining Manchester United football was Ole (albeit in patches due to squad young age, little experience and little depth), he had only one transfer window to operate in, he is giving a chance to the squad players this year to see who to ship-out and who to keep. We all have been asking to have such kind of manager who understand the United way and at the first sign of trouble, we turn against our own, it is very frustrating reading some of the comments here because people just want instant success, we are in the phase now where older fans were when SAF took charge of the club, success did not come in one year but was the accumulation of experience, learning from mistakes etc.

We should get behind Ole and let him finish this season the best way possible so stop creating threads to undermine our manager.

Everyone needs to get off their high horse.

Someone offers you £5m per year ( or whatever it is ) to do your dream job ... you would tow the line as well.

Ole is doing what needs to be done because he genuinely believes he can be a success at United.

It may well fail to achieve his ambitions as a United manager, but he will give it his best shot.

You cannot ask for more than that, he has inherited a pretty dismal squad and needs to be given more time.

As far as the sanchez comments went it looked quite clearly tongue in cheek to me.

Yep, and come on people "used like this"... his impending Fernandes purchase will have meant he's spent €214 million in just 10 months since being made permanent manager. If that is "being used" well I'm sure there are a lot of other managers out there desperate to be used like that.
