It seem Ole has become the butt of all joke after the contract renewal and pundits and even opposition fans are poking fun at a potential sleeping bear. Will ole make them eat crow this season?

I Don’t see it honestly. He has been here three years and I have seen enough of him to figure out the type of manager is. Might win the odd Mickey Mouse trophy, but the big trophies that United are known to win and compete in, will take a tremendous amount of good fortune to reach.

You dont spend a couple of hundred million on players and go into a season with question marks over the manager's future. (New players wont want to commit if theres managerial uncertainty and players who do come in and think the manager will be gone so they dont need to give their all).

These guys are talking complete shit, talking as if a new contract is only needed if theres a risk of the manager going somewhere else.

You do it to underline faith in the manager with, let's say the £100m investment your putting in the players, and offsetting that against the £10 or so it will cost off it doesn't go to plan and you need to sack him.
