He isn't even that much better than Ronaldo of this season. Just a goal more and the same number of assists as a player who was out for 3 months due to surgery and didn't have any pre season.
Performance-wise he's a good few levels above Ronaldo on current form. Ronaldo's was sustained form last season though, so it was a fairly stupid comment.

Your one was equally stupid though, Rooney's on much better form than Ronaldo.

A "good few levels" above Ronaldo ? Is he creating twice as many chances as Ronaldo ? Is he going past more players ? Is he scoring lot more goals ? Is his passing accuracy far better ? Ronaldo has 3 goals and 3 assists in about 7 games.

Rooney has to be playing out of this world and tearing apart the likes of Chelsea or Liverpool on his own to have a similar goals/assists record from more games and yet be considered 'a good few levels' above Ronaldo.

He is on better form than Ronaldo but a good few levels above is stretching it a bit. Ronaldo is a below his own brilliant best and Rooney is better than he ever was last season.

Ronaldo's still efficient, still gets in the right positions and still has the confidence to try the difficult things and that's what makes him the best player in the world, because he can still do that when off form.

If you can't see how far ahead Rooney is of Ronaldo at this moment in time, there's no point in trying to convince you.
