Will we sign anyone for the first team during the remainder of the January window?

The only plausible reason I will accept for no signings this week is there’s a new manager coming in for next season. If the board are backing OGS and theres no signings to signal substantial evidence of backing him, then they’ve pretty much let it slip that OGS isn’t going to be the manager next season... that or the ownership is looking to sell the club imminently which is far less likely.

You missed the more obvious explanation from the last 4 windows.....our owners have no interest in investing in the team.

Even if we do somehow sign Bruno, Ed can't be forgiven for not getting this sorted in the Autumn and having the player in training 1st Jan and ready to go. He has cost us points, possibly cup competitions and injuries with his shoddy approach to transfers. And we should have had 2-3 first teamers this window to stand a chance of top 4. Incompetent moron
Dont shoot the messenger. He is doing the biding of the owners

....and Solskjaer has won it!
If we don't sign a player deemed to be the right fit for the right price then I'm fine with that.

Let's face it, having a reputation for overpaying for players you eventually have to get rid of in a "clear out" hasn't worked for us over the last six or seven years has it?

I’m all for signing the right players for the club but surely our supposed global scouting team has been able to identify players outside of Bruno Fernandes, Sean Longstaff, Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, James Maddison and Jack Grealish to purchase?

There are hundreds and thousands of players out in Europe alone, and not one of our alleged scouting team has been able to find players we can get for a reasonable price and who want to play for us? If the club wants to reduce spending then why are they going after English players at Premier League clubs? That’s probably the worst route to go down for them. We need to look further into Europe and try and find a Mahrez and a Kante.

First Woodward briefs on how the scouting system was so advanced they had 800 Right backs on a list alongside Wan Bissaka, now we have to make sure the 'right' players are available. It's all BS from the club lately, from Woodward to Ole, everyone spews BS thinking we fans are idiots.

Still decent chance that Bruno deal will go through on the last day of the window. It's Ed Woodward special. Spend all window trying to save a few mil and eventually giving them what they asked in the first place. He's probably also trying to get the recent media/fan pressure off his back by making a high profile signing.

None of this is Ole’s fault, but he has spent the entire transfer window basically stalling everyone and tiding them over til it’s done.
Where is "Manager doesn't negotiate deals!" argument now? You lot just like to use it against Ole, not for him.

Fernandes deal been agreed according to Sky Sports. Medical in next 48 hours.

Credit to Ole for signing him, then blame Ed if he turns to crap within a few months.

Wow surprising we actually signed a real player.

Wonder if the mounting pressure in social media, rumours of mass fan walkout plan, and what happened to Ed's house pushes this deal somehow, just before the final day.

If we don't sign a striker before the deadline then it'll be a minor crisis. We've got just one striker right now and he's a pretty inconsistent one at that. If we go a second window without replacing Lukaku then that's really poor.

BBC Radio 5 Live are reporting a Utd bid for Josh King to return to OT, turned down by Bournemouth.
Other media reporting the same news.
Ole now saying all business concluded for this window.
So they’ve been trying to buy a striker, but have failed to get anyone in.
