Pochettino rumours might have spur him and the team who likes playing for him. He still needs to spend in January for himself.

I don't think I've been so happy after two games in a row since Fergie retired. Two great wins in 4 days.
And man, Rashford is growing to be a true world-beater.

You can clearly see what he's trying to do here.

Always believed, hopefully, with a couple of players in January, we'll be even better.

Pogba in place of Jesse and we'll be even better.

We beat Spur who was winning every game since Mourinho took over, and we beat City on their on own ground and we are now back to top 5. Our overall play is getting better and better and our players are starting to click, we should give Ole more time to build this team.

Chuffed. I've changed my mind. He has what it takes...to make it till the end of the season before someone more capable takes over.

I’m absolutely over the moon right now but I’ve not changed my mind.
Same here, we made this mistake in the past after the PSG game.

It shows we have the quality to compete but not the consistency, somehow Ole is a great motivator for big matches and it shows on the results, while playing against bottom teams we seem so awful.

Thrilled with the result, but Martial for Pereira was a bad sub. Pereira offers feck all and Playing 5-5-0 is just asking for pressure.

Overall i thought we were brilliant for the first 30 and then pretty shite afterwards. I dont know if we were getting leggy or something, but they were wide open so no reason to hand over the initiative like that.

Beating Jose and Pep within 4 days though? Thats fecking good

Credit for today’s performance absolutely, (although even though I understand need to defend second half was too deep for me)

Still think we can do better& you can’t forget fact we’re still 5 points of top 4- but i enjoyed today and was happy for him

It will come, just need to be patient. Get a proper #10 so we don’t need to play Lingard, Pereira, or Mata, and we have a real team to compete.

Yeah, it's an absolutely incredible win but seems a bit silly to shift between keeping him and sacking him every time we either win/lose, and it sort of lends credit to the overall impression that standards have been lowered massively when two (admittedly very good) wins on the bounce are enough to deflect from what's been a poor season. But as I said in one of the other threads I'm glad he's doing better insofar as even if it doesn't work out in the end, he'll eventually leave with some good lasting memories and without things descending into an embarrassment as we feared at one stage.

Where we were heading some weeks ago, I'd say that's a positive, not negative.

He had to make a change as Martial is just coming back from a knock and probably thought Greenwood was a bit too raw to fight for the result.

We do have a short squad but I dont think thats the main reason why Ole hasn’t been able to get us playing good football consistently.

Pereira is freaking awful, and Mata feck doesn’t even have the physicality to play in the MLS.

So they're(/we're) glory hunters for not changing our opinions after a win?

My opinion is still sign Poch to start next season and keep OGS until then.

After a win ?
1-1 Liverpool
3-1 Norwich
0-1 Bournemouth
3-1 Brighton
3-3 Sheffield U
2-2 Aston Villa
2-1 Tottenham
2-1 Man City

Does a manager deserve to get sacked after that ?

We have won 4 out of 7
We have scored 12 goals in the last 5
We have beaten Chelsea, Tottenham and City
We should have beaten both Arsenal and Liverpool

Zero sense to you and perhaps others of the blind faith persuasion. You still did not answer questions such as whether any other elite club would put up with this. And what makes you think (other than blind faith) that Ole will change things. What makes you think he will suddenly imprint a style of play on the team which he has not been able to do in about a year? Which a certain Klopp you named did in a few months, then got the personnel as he desired and made his team a machine. But for you it's not Ole it's the players. First the right players have to be brought in then the style of play will come right? Whatever happened at Villa is of no consequence to me because iirc Villa have won zero trophies since your stated miracle happened and neither is their football being hailed as pathbreaking unfortunately. Come up with something logical as to why we should persist with Ole. Try leaving out the below if we want to have a meaningful non-zero sense discussion

1. Legend
2. Class of 92 team member
3. Legend
4. Patience is key
5. We are not a sacking club
6. We are still not mathematically out of Europa spots.
7. Players are shit
8. Pogba is shit
9. Legend
10. Injuries
11. Did I mention Legend?
just wondering if you saw the style on Wednesday and today pal?

So you'd be happy to see Ole sacked in the morning?
Poll question is not that. I for example, before these 2 games against Spurs and City wanted Ole sacked immediately but now I am ok giving him some more time. I still think he should not be our manager next season though.

At the risk of repeating myself... how can anyone judge Ole harshly knowing he has that squad.
Give him a fair crack .. he isnt clueless.. we have plenty of evidence to show that.

Give him a chance. Whats the fecking obsession with sacking managers.?

He's here to stay. Especially after a performance like the past week. Once we get Pogba back and get some reinforcements in the team, we'll start getting more consistent in the smaller games too.

I like how when people are not happy with a long run of games they’re called knee jerk but then are told they should change their votes after a few good wins.
