Hypothetical situation - would you take Conte at United ? Do you think he would be a good fit ?

Unlike other teams he has managed , we won't sell players , we invest decent money every year.

No, I don't know who we get but it shouldn't be Conte

If we had different owners then yes. He's a 10 times better manager than Ole will ever be but Conte would fall out with the owners within 1 season no doubt.

No no no. Finally rid of the drama. And he will leave with a bunch of dross players that only he can get something out of.

No. He might win, but he’ll manage to annoy everyone, leave within 2 years & we’ll be back to where we were with Jose. We don’t need a short term fix.

No. We'd be left with more deadwood to shift when he inevitably has a bust up with the board.

Dig up stupid!
He nevers stays anywhere for a prolonged period of time, demands big expenditure every season, generally falls out with the owners.

Sounds familiar

Yeah.. And I'd give him everything he wants.

Young, Darmian, Sanchez, Lukaku.

I might draw the line at Moses.

100%. I wanted Ole to succeed but he makes the same mistakes time and time again. I think he has taken us as far as he can.

Conte is one of the best managers in moder games.

He hasn't failed with any team he managed so far.

It won't happen, but anyone who wants Ole ahead of him is so.

I think this post should have been posted tomorrow morning, lot of knee jerk responses are going to flood this now.

But yes, I would take Conte. The guy wins the league wherever he goes. I think Ole's done an admirable job all things considering. But if we are going to beat Pep/Klopp to it, we need something more. Conte brings that IMO.

No way, we'd play every match like Villareal did today, would be worse than under Mou

Over Ole? Yes, of course.

5 league titles in 7 years. Ole hasn't won a single trophy in that period.

You can always wonder.

How would Conte do at United ?

Could Louis Van Gaal have offered us something more ?

Could Jose Mourinho have improved the team if given until the end of the season he was sacked ?

And on and on... as things stands, seems like the board is fully backing Ole.

It was a shitshow from Ole tonight I think, but he's done well enough to start next season as our manager. So no, I'm not up for replacing him right now, especially with someone like Conte.
