After last week's misery, we're back in action and with something to prove. Birmingham are at the bottom of the table with 0 points from 3 matches and a -8 GD. Can we cheer ourselves up and add to their misery?

Live tonight on Sky Sports Main Event and on Sky Showcase. FA Player outside the UK.

Martha Thomas is out about 2-4 weeks after picking up as knee injury in training.

1-0 United! SUPER LEAH GALTON!
More or less her first touch of the half really. Blundell is looking good, but the Galton/Blundell partnership isn't really there yet - despite the goal!

Funny game so far. We've dominated possession without actually making real chances. Russo has been coming deeper to get more into the game, but it's not an easy game.

70% possession with two shots, only one on target. Weird game alright.

Nice counterattack from United, Galton narrowly wide. Let's hope we can make more space to play in this half. While it's 1-0 even I am half expecting us to get sucker punched.
That would be from the Men's team!!

Birmingham should have really scored at the start of the second half. Need that extra goal. Where have I heard that before!

We've looked good in the second half - getting stronger as Birmingham tire. A lot more pressure on the Birmingham goal this half. That said, we should be more than two goals up really.
At least our Goal Difference is improved........somewhat

Decent performance, though I have to admit to being completely ignorant as to just how poor or otherwise, Birmingham have been this season.

Earps - did well to save a dangerous corner and reacted well shortly after. Otherwise a quiet game for her.

Batlle - seemed ok, not one of her better matches
Blundell - two assists, did really well for the first, one horrible miss from Galton's pass, apart from that, didn't do much
Mannion - plenty of ambitious long crossfield and down the line, passes especially in the first half. Some came off, some didn't. Thought she defended reasonably well, most of the time.
Thorisdottir - careless short passes put us in difficulty at least a couple of times, Jackie got booked after one. One good pass in the 2nd half, out to our left wing, also a nice pass to Blundell in the build-up to Leah's goal.

Zelem - lovely through pass for Blundell to set up Ella Toone's goal. Otherwise didn't notice that much quality from Katie. Mostly safe passes and got stuck in a few times.
Groenen - one super shot that went narrowly wide. Also provided some good through-balls including one that Ella reached but failed to get round Ramsey. A bit careless on occasion.
Staniforth - played reasonably well but after her early, harsh booking, she seemed intent on giving the referee the chance to send her off. Wisely substituted at half-time. Could have come earlier.

Toone - first half not that great, 2nd half hit the post with a super strike, scored from Blundell's assist, numerous shots from distance that tended to be blocked, attempted through-passes that didn't quite come-off
Galton - looked back to her best after her goal. Beat her full-back numerous times, some good crosses, some too close to the keeper or too far away from the United players trying to get on the end of them. Shot narrowly wide at the start of the 2nd half and set up a big chance that Hannah Blundell wasted with a wild shot over the bar.
Russo - promising performance, used her speed and strength to good effect, created a chance for Leah Galton early in the 2nd half. Had a few shots that were either blocked or off-target.

Subs:

Hanson - terrified the Birmingham defence yet somehow didn't get an assist from any of the dangerous crosses she put in or her fantastic through-ball for Ella Toone's shot that hit the post.
Boe Risa - seemed fine

Leah Galton is really good, though I don't see the point of those crosses. I can't see any of our ladies being a menace in the air. Keep it on the ground.
