This is being played at Everton's new main stadium (the Hill Dickinson stadium) not at Goodison Park which is now the main home of Everton women. Confused?

Will that help Everton improve their record against us? As it stands we've played 19, W16 D2 L1 and we're leading 50 to 9 on aggregate for goals.

Broadly we'll be insisting on a win, they'll be relieved to get a draw. Though I doubt they want to see it that way.

I've not heard any new injury reports since the Valerenga match. We know that Leah Galton is very close to returning to the matchday squad. Whether we'll rotate anyone out or plan to take people off early in anticipation of next week's match with Atletico is anyone's guess. At any rate, for now at least I think we're operating with a full bench.

Match is live on Sky Sports Premier League.

We really need to start rotating more, can't just play the same players every three or four days and trust that there will be no injuries and/or drop in performances in the long run.

So I hope we see Bizet (probably not fit enough to start though), George and Naalsund in the starting XI.

Don't understand the WSL scheduling at all, why are there no games on a Saturday on an international weekend is beyond me.

I'm a little confused by the change in venue - Goodison is a great ground for their women's team and they should be looking to make it theirs.

This should be a routine win for us, whatever side we put out.

Very happy they are playing on Sunday. By the end of Wednesday night’s game you could tell there was a lot of fatigue.
Hoping for rotation this weekend to give at least two or three some more recovery time.

Women's football scheduling is a messy business all round. It's still very much a work in progress. Sky are sat at the heart of it in the UK. They basically decide the schedule to suit themselves which basically means to suit whatever live sport they've got.

That said - opening up 3pm as a broadcast slot for women's football, even just on international weekends could help in a lot of ways. Including allowing them to experiment with other timings like 2pm kickoffs.

This one though - it's broadly been pushed to Sunday to accommodate the mid-week games. Limited options really.

Only 3 teams played in the CL and even out of those Arsenal played on Tuesday. I can understand Sunday games in general but the international break is a good time to grow the game by spreading it across the weekend. I personally find it much easier to go to games on a Saturday than on a Sunday afternoon

Agreed. This is a match we should be able to win without starting our best XI, at least some of whom need a break. The trick will be to rotate as much as possible without being too overconfident and thus risk the proverbial banana peel.

BTW, as much as I agree that we need to rotate to give players adequate rest, I'm not sure I agree with those who think the team looked tired in the second half of the last match. I could be wrong, of course, but I think we downshifted strategically to -- as I've said in some other posts -- earn the 3 points without burning any more calories than necessary.

Manchester United starting line-up: Tullis-Joyce, Sandberg, Le Tissier (C), Toone, Malard, Terland, Rolfö, Riviere, Naalsund, Janssen, Miyazawa.

Substitutes: Middleton-Patel, Rendell, Blundell, George, Awujo, Galton, Park, Zigiotti, Williams.

Galton on the bench :)

A much-deserved rest for Zigiotti and Park. Now let's hope we can put this away early and empty the bench.

Glad to see Galton available as a sub. I wonder how many minutes she's good for today.

Close again. Ball came in just a bit too awkwardly for Terland to do a proper header. I hope she didn't injure herself there.

So wasteful. Less than 10 minutes played and it should be at least 2-0

Now Rolfo with a decent chance.

Time to score while we're opening them up.

Feels like shooting practice day - unfortunately we're watching the out-takes at the moment

PTJ was seriously fouled, which kept her from making a good clearance.

The defence were asleep but it was a pretty clear foul on PTJ. Typically awful officiating in the WSL.

Anyone who thinks no VAR will suddenly make refs competent needs to give their head a wobble.

Too many players just standing waiting for someone else to act in that goal. Riviere and Hinata who are normally so good elsewhere looked lost for a moment there. I'll forgive Phallon for the clearance, she wasn't given much chance there.

Is it too soon to start panicking, or should I wait a few more minutes?

As much as I was glad to see Park rested I think she needs to come on to break this defence down.

We’ve been pretty awful since going behind. When we needed an injection of urgency they just seem to have become more casual.

Passing is sloppy and we look flat. Lack of squad depth was a worry with European midweek games. Toone looks tired already today.

I am now in a full-blown panic. I feel like I've seen this movie before and know how it ends.

Everton 1-0 United and all you can really say is how the hell did that happen.

But we actually know the answer to that, when you don't take advantage of your possession and your chances you're asking for trouble.

Unfortunately the goal seems to have given Everton confidence and drained our energy. Let's hope we start the second half like we started the first, but we actually take our chances this time.

Script.

1. Wasted chances
2. Dodgy free kick given
3. Dodgy goal when it was a foul on Phallon - that would have been give a free kick 9 times of 10. The Everton player is interfering Phallon with no intention to play the ball and she is moving into Phallon.
4. Belief and momentum to Everton

United tired from playing their 3rd game in 9 days.

Yeah, I would say we are in real danger here!

Forgot to add: EX-United goaltender Ramsey coming back to haunt us, that was the last part of the script I missed!

I wonder what Skinner does, he has to get Zigiotti and Park on and I suppose Naalsund and some other player will make may within 15 minutes of the 2nd.

Not particularly concerned yet, we'll get some momentum back and will just need to start finishing some chances. Pretty standard situation to come back from if you're aiming to be a top side. Would bring Park on, though.

That yellow card does it for me, sub Sandberg for George and Naalsund for Zigiotti ASAP!

Sandberg is the one having to run like a jojo on the field. Rolfö needs to get the motor going like she did when it rained cats and dogs vs Chelsea!

1/3 played of the 2nd half and we look absolutely like we have no idea what we are doing or how to create any kind of chance forward! And Riviere could not hit a barn with a cross if she tried to.

Malard! Fantastic from Hinata.
