We're not the new kids on the block in this one. We're not even the rich club trying to buy their way to success (but without the budget of our main rivals). We are however the team with the better players and with an actual team, rather than a collection of strangers.

LBC have brought in some proven players - including Katie Zelem, Nikita Parris and Danielle van de Donk (on loan) - they recruited Kosovarre Asllani a year ago. No one was surprised by that kind of recruitment, survival is the first job of the newly promoted.

The surprise was the display of financial muscle that happened at the end of the transfer window. They paid €500k for a potential star in Lucia Corrales. They paid over £1m (we don't know for sure how much over - maybe a world record) for Grace Geyero.

United are still waiting for players to return from injury, but we may see Gabby George and Fridolino Rolfo back in the matchday squad.

Should be a comfortable win, despite the waves that Millwall Lionesses franchise team are making they are still a poor outfit at this level.
 
I was at the Emirates last week for the women’s game there. LCL surprised a lot of people. They were organised and looked like a group of players who had played together for a while. Very organised. They were surprisingly good.

I watched the game and they did look surprisingly good. They were very competitive but, perhaps understandably, tired in the last 20 minutes. I am expecting a tough game and I suspect their ground will be rocking. Bring it on.
 
Hopefully now will be a good time to catch them, before their "collection of players" gels into a "team" (as per @jojojo). They are likely to be a serious challenge later in the season.
 
Almost time for the London City Billionaires game. What a massive match for us! And its I assume one some slightly smaller pitch so I assume it will be an intense physical high tempo battle! Its sold out about 5200, most of them United fans? ;)

Rolfö and Gabby to make sub appearances today?

Several changes for this one. Millie Turner starts, Janssen in the bench. George and Rolfo are on the bench for the first time. Bizet starts, Terland on the bench.

Bizet on the left, Park on the right, Malard up top. Nothing wrong with that.

Just wait til London buys Geyse this christmas transfer window and she scores a hattrick at LSV this spring!

And Parris will run over to Skinner if she scores today! (I hope we can avoid that it would be horrible)
 
Good start from us. Penalty awarded for push on Malard. MLT takes the penalty and we're 1-0 up.

Number 20 (sorry not quite on it with names yet) has so much energy for us. Winning it back and covering with ease. Could do with that in the men’s team.

Hinata Miyazawa, and yeah she’s fantastic for us. Took a while for her to establish herself as a regular starter for us, but once she did she’s proven herself to be essential for us in midfield.

She's special - great touch and great awareness. Zigiotti is looking like she could be the ideal partner for her as well.
 
Something I noticed against Brann and again today is how shit we are at defending set plays. We seem to lack height among our outfield players.
