Miyazawa puts in so much covering work, and I love that she's trying to organise others positionally.
 
Jess Park is such a fun player to watch. It’s great that she’s been given licence to run at defences like she does. There’s not many players in the WSL that can do it as well as her.

Was just about to post we need a Jess Park-type player for the men’s team
 
Looking a little ropey at the moment, could do with getting to half time without conceding
 
1-1 at HT and that's probably about right. Chelsea have probably had as many/more good chances but United have had more of the action overall.
 
I will say my usual thing - stop fecking around the back when you face one of the best teams in the world. Park tried to dribble against 2 Chelsea players when she was the last player in our defensive half. We could have conceded 2-3 goals from turning the ball over as the last man. I know we want to try and play possession, but we cant afford to lose the ball in those situations. If in danger, hoof the ball up the field and let Chelsea earn it! Zigiotti rightfully had a complete melt after one of Sandbergs turnovers.

Chelsea feels a lot more sharp, direct and dangerous compared to Arsenal! Kind of crazy Chelsea lost 8-1 vs Barcelona and Arsenal managed to just beat them by an inch!
 
Both teams have missed some good chances although I think Kaptein's chance from the middle of the box and Beaver-Jones near post shot were easier chances than Park running through on the right and Toone's shot wide. Equal in the scoreline and we're obviously in the match. Chelsea tend to eventually make the breakthroughs and find a way to win so they wont keep missing so we'll need to take our chances in the 2nd half.

Chelsea's rightwing with Carpenter and Kaneryd are getting crosses in too easily vs Sandberg and Rolfo. Chelsea also have very good options off the bench so I'd imagine we'll see that too

Lots of encouragement for us going forward though with runs from Park and Toone where Chelsea back off and leaving spaces open. Very nice to see vs the top team in the league. I'd personally like to see Bizet come on down the right as I think her combination with Riviere leads to our best crosses into the box and Bizet also does a lot of ball winning so will help defend against the Chelsea wing.
 
Park has insane skills and looks like she is floating above the grass sometimes, if we can just find a way to a final product from it will be great!

I would sub Rolfö and put on Malard. I think Rolfö like someone else said 2 weeks ago looks to casual both with and without the ball, not enough intensity.And the game here is so quick she looks a bit slow. With Barcelona it was more a finesse and skill game where she could kind of dictate play and stand around.
 
Have the beeb told Ellen White to remove that Palestine badge? Suddenly disappeared between replays during the HT analysis. I don't agree with censorship regardless of how insensitive her decision may look after recent days.

Anyway back to the game, I'm so impressed with the spark Jess brings our team, definitely the best signing we've made in ages, so much zip and threat. Love the response after going a goal down.
 
Torrential rain breaks lose - which means mean even more - DO NOT FECK AROUND AT THE BACK with the ball, just play it long as safe :D
 
Maybe take Julia off for AWUJO as Zigiotti is due for a red card soon, especially in the rain!

This rain is fantastic btw, makes the game so much more fun (knock on wood)! Players are really getting into it and digging in.

Some of the crowd could need some alcohol to get going, its 15 minutes left and a draw, get into it FFS :D I am shaking in my boots here!
