Ok, the odds on qualifying are against us but there's still a remote mathematical possibility :smirk:

That said, with another big WSL match on Sunday we could do with resting some key players and testing some of the current backup players.

Will Skinner make changes - sure.
Will we make big changes - not sure.
If one of the backups plays really well, will they get in the team for the derby match at the weekend - doubt it, but hopefully they'll play themselves back into the story for the rest of the matches.

Nonetheless, if you can get to LSV I reckon the team will appreciate it and you'll enjoy it :D

So Sheffield will need to beat Aston Villa for United to have a change to go through at all? If thats the case I would not play any of the players who is going to start against City and use junior players to fill out the starting line-up. We need to get top 3 in the league, this cup is already a lost cause. And even if a miracle would occur the chances we would beat, Chelsea, Arsenal and City in the knock out stage is very slim.

No Leon or Clinton, despite Skinner saying we had no injuries - hopefully just something minor has ruled them out.

Not sure why we've got Batlle and Turner playing tonight - we really can't afford to go into the City game without them.

Because MS could not find any more players? except youth players? :-) Only regular starters on the bench...

I wonder if starting and giving Battle the captaincy is dangling something of a carrot, look we see you as a serious leader and this armband could be yours before too long style. Anything to try to keep her around (although going to Leigh of all places on a night like this certainly isn’t enticing)

No worries
4-2 win at full time, but it looks like we're out at the group stage if Villa finish the job against Sheffield United.

We are out. At best we finish 2nd in the group with 8 points. The 2nd best runner up currently has 9 points (Liverpool) Which means United have been eliminated! We would have won the group if could have managed 2 or 3 points Vs Durham.

Durham is the Manchester United slayers in the womens game. If we only had not conceded that last minute goal at Durham or won either of the penalty shootouts we would have won the group as well.

Regardless, hopefully the 3 big dragons get to play extra time and gets lots injuries during the semis and final

It's an odd statement. If tonight wasn't right then when? Or is that statement just a prelude to a loan announcement?
No idea, we got the completely irrelevant game Vs Sheffield now, maybe Skinner is waiting for a 1 appearance per season plan for her and that will be it? Just very weird.

Does she get match playing time with any of Uniteds youth teams or is she just training? Not sure how she is supposed to develop without games. She should have been loaned out for the season if Skinner deemed her not ready to play for us....
