Absolutely 0% chance of happening but he would be my top target for next manager of United.

He'll take over from Slot before end of the season though

Having said that Madrids squad has some deep issues - Their defense has had injury problems for so long. I swear Ive seen valverde, camavinga play full back at times.

Then their midfield lacks the control Modric and Kroos gave them. Obviously you can replace 2 goats but Tchoumeni is bang average , Valverde and Bellingham are great ball carriers but I dont think either can control the game.

Vini has been poor, Rodrygo has struggled. Mbappe has been carrying them a fair bit

This and much more. Can't fault the manager. The squad is bang average. Big names Zero performance.

I agree, but thats still far better than what we do. I'd take sacking unfairly over giving too much time. Like the poster said, standards.
 
He will probably wait for Liverpool but he should be an immediate priority. Screw worrying about him rejecting us for Liverpool you have to do it. We made that mistake already by just letting City have Guardiola without a fight.
 
Not a chance in hell he'd come to us but it's well worth asking the question and putting a number in front of him.

I’d also argue they give their managers time - they just have really high expectations all the time and it’s probably why they’re so successful
 
Xabi Alonso wasn't under threat of being sacked, but since he lost the players so early into his tenure, I can see why he decided to leave before things got worse. He'll still be highly regarded by most clubs as Real Madrid is a bit of a behemoth, and they'd surely know about the player power that he's had to deal with.
 
He overachieved at Leverkusen. If he failed at Madrid who are on par with us as being one of the biggest in the world then why would people want him?
 
Because of his LFC links it likely won't happen but we should be doing everything possible to get him to United now.

Him or Luis Enrique would be my two dream manager choices.
 
People seem to miss 1 very important point of Xabi Alonso: He prefers a back 3. So he'd slot in this United team head coach position seamlessly from Amorim.

Otherwise, if we switch back to the back 4, we make all our AMs (Mount, Cunnha, Mbeumo, Bruno...etc) irrelevant because we got too many of them, while lacking traditional wingers on the left (And people wouldn't like us bringing Rashford back).

Give Xabi Alonso a freaking blank cheque, INEOS!

Tbf that should be a requirement for any club of a certain size. There should also be a rule that they are allowed to smoke said cigars in the technical area but only if their team is 2 goals up.
 
Why would it “not be a chance” Liverpool currently have a manager why would alonso who has done Madrid now not join Manchester United and make a fortune. I can see a born and bred Liverpudlian not taking it maybe, my Rooney would take it if he was any good.

Judging by their success, I'd argue they give their managers the right amount of time.

This sacking in particular seems on the surface a bit harsh to me, but I don't follow Real closely, so I don't really have an informed opinion on it.
 
Real Madrid have absolutely zero chill. They're only four points off the top as well.

The exact opposite of our approach. Neither is sustainable.

Can we interest him in a coaching role in Manchester?
 
Leverkusen was playing good football, Madrid has too many divas and needs a big personality to make them work. compared to ole or Carrick, we should at least try with a view for permanent appointment. minimum goal is European football preferably champions league.
 
Before we start praying for him to be the next manager - wasnt he trying to play 3 ATB at madrid ? Granted he gave that up with the injury problems but do we really want to go down that route ?
