No release date on MGS 3 makes me think it’s ages away

Nik (@Rood), Jamie (@Vault Dweller) and Ed (@That'sHernandez) give their end of season awards out! They celebrate the best players, goals and moments of the season (there were some, honestly) and also give out awards for the worst and most disappointing players/moments of the season.
They then discuss all the latest transfer rumours and get into the potential ins and outs this summer at Old Trafford.
Age of Mythology, good to see that classic isn't forgotten yet.
This Perfect Dark gameplay looks insane... But also a bit too scripted and smooth to be legit.

Perfect Dark, Indiana Jones, Fable and Doom are all games I will want to play. I think they are all Xbox studios? very impressive line up imo
If nothing in this interests you, I don't really know what to say. They've shown about a million games by now, across all possible genres, many with actual gameplay.

Well that was a big show. Possibly the best they've ever done? You'd have to go back to the glory days of E3 to find a better one I'd say; from any publisher.
It was good but the problem for me is that the biggest reveals probably won’t see the light of day for a long time.
Doom is the one for me. An already terrific gameplay loop that looks to be hitting new heights. Hope that one comes to PS5.
Perfect Dark is the other one but will have to see how that one plays. Whereas with Doom I know it’s going to be kick ass.

An all digital X makes complete sense. It’s basically a Gamepass machine.

Some absolute bangers in there - really excited about Fable, Avowed and that Atom one as well looks intriguing
Xbox showcase was awesome. Huge variety of games and the majority coming to GP 
So for someone like me that still has 2 years of gamepass left, after just getting Hellblade 2 I get Flight Sim 2024, new Starfield content, Flintlock, Stalker 2, Indiana Jones, Fallout 76 expansion, Avowed, Age of Mythology, and Cod Black Ops 6 - all this year and with no extra cost. Next year Expedition 33, Doom, Fable, South of Midnight, Wuchang, Atomfall. Plus a load of smaller and mid sized games like Mixtape, Towerborne etc.
Maybe I'll get one of Gears, Perfect Dark or something not shown today (Clockwork Revolution, Forza Horizon 6 etc) before my sub ends mid 2026.

Easily the best showcase they've done. Barely any small games but managed to cover lots of genres without relying on a big indie sizzlereel. Mostly gameplay or at least in-engine other than known quantity dlc updates.
Gotta deliver on those 2025 dates but the next 18 months is stacked for gamepass and I'm sure there's more to be announced.

Just got into Fallout 76 a few weeks ago and am nearing the end of the content so the expansion is an unexpected treat!

Nope. I was convinced they'd announce a drop of FF games coming to Game Pass along with an announcement of either FF IX Remake or a port of the Pixel Remasters.
Still looking forward to Fable, it looks good. That Clair Obscur game looks interesting. Avowed looks better from what they showed previously, I thought. And South of Midnight continues to look very stylish, and finally some gameplay.
Shame most of it is next year really but not surprised. Good looking line up but naturally remains to be seen if they are actually good. If Fable disappoints me that's going to be a big one tbh, as the original is the game I got an OG Xbox for and 2 is one of my favourite games.

Enjoyed that there’s a few games that look very good. I’ve been debating getting an Xbox (had the One X and loved it) and this has probably sealed the deal.
Was hoping the WoW release trailer would be a Xbox console reveal as well but oh well.

Great show. Nitpicks are the dates not being solid and I would have loved to see a bit more actual gameplay, at times. Especially for Gears. But good stuff! I'll be playing Blops 6 and Indy on Gamepass, for sure.
It looks like there's some good stuff on the way, but what's happened to Bioware? I spent about an hour thinking the Dragon Age reveal was some sort of Fortnite-like cash-in but now I've found out it's what was called Dreadwolf and just looks bad.

hope it’s just some crappy EA marketing thing and not indicative of the game.Not bad, but pretty standard MS fare that you would have expected on the Xbox over the years. I get it if you only game on xbox though, at least there's stuff to look forward to which was much needed. Hopefully most of that will turn out to be decent and above games!

.Dragon Age looked every bit as terrible as anyone paying attention to Bioware over the last decade should expect. Franchise is dead, or for a very different audience than myself now.
Overall though that's the best show any company has put on for quite a long time imo. Looks like the Xbox software drought will truly turn the corner this fall. They'll have an excellent console and a stacked games lineup while Sony enters what looks like a multi-year lull.
Only slight gripe is not seeing anything from the Clockwork-whatever game from InExile.

Apparently Doom is multiplatform at launch. Not that I’ll play it on launch but at least there’s no ambiguity of it coming.
I’m glad for Xbox / game pass owners though. Even if 5 of these games end up to be very good you have 5 very good next gen games being added to game pass as a bare minimum which is cool.
Hey we’ve got Astro, Helldivers, Pacific Drive, FF7 and Stellar Blade this year! Plus I’m sure many of these Xbox games will also be coming to PS5. Hopefully we get a big Sony showcase at the end of the year on what their heavy hitters have been working on.

I thought @Bojan11 came back because he'd suffered through the famine and was ready for the absolute feast. What a let down.
I wrote this about 1.5 hours in. Was gonna finish it before really rating it but didn’t bother finishing it. POS.
Granted, it’s the best looking POS I’ve ever seen and the audio is sublime but, as someone who puts the OG in my toppest tier of games, Ninja Theory have stripped most of what was good about the original away. Senua herself is sublime to look at and control on a gorgeous landscape but that’s about it.
The narrative is just a flat line throughout. Whereas the first was an intimate mish mash of mental illness and grief, the second is almost void of all that. Even the voices in senuas head are dull and pointless this time around. Reduced to puzzle assists (not that you need them) and directionless chatter. I got dead bored of it.
The combat. It looks brill at first but it becomes quickly clear that NT have dispensed with multiple enemies at once in favour of more scripted intimate fights. Looks ace and initially it’s no big deal but the fights now seem little more that gorgeous QTE’s. Gone is the parrying and slo mo.
Boring. Beautiful bit very boring. It could have been so much more.
So the two games I bought my Xbox for have turned out to be huge disappointments.
I love these new Doom games, but I do miss Doom Guy not being anything more than a space marine. I took the text file that came with Doom '93 as cannon.
