I don't think we've made any poor signings. Bishop was my way to skirt past that question.
Was he really a youth purchase. 17 apps for Southend, 20 years old. The transfer was a bizarre one that we didn't really need.

Sure,both have still had their down periods but,when fit, for the majority of the campaign they offered so much on the offensive and continue to get better as a pair. Also helps massively that Bruno and Pogba have came into the side and have helped them with more goalscoring opportunities.

Worst signing: Harry Maguire (Just shows you how good our signings have been - the only other signing that hasn't quite met expectations is James, but he only cost 15m and we all thought he wouldn't actually feature that much this season. His early good form and goals has justified his small price tag and shows good signs for the future. Maguire doesn't look like an 85m player at the moment, but let's wait and see)

Worst player: Andreas Pereira (has showed promising signs in the past, but this season was given plenty of opportunities by Ole to make his mark in the team but has completely wasted his chances. Attacking players just can't be forgiven for this bad decision making over and over again)
Most improved player: Anthony Martial (gone from being on the fringes of the team to grasping the number 9 position (and shirt) with both hands and showing us some phenomenal moments)
Most disimproved player: David De Gea (doesn't look the player he once was, but still hope he can turn things around)

Worst signing: Tanguy Ndombele (expensive, hyped, now the manager doesn't want him, and there was that game where he walked around a lot)
Best player: Kevin De Bruyne (the best attacking midfielder in the world, no one can get near him in terms of assists/chances created)
Worst player: Mesuit Ozil (On 350k a week and can't get in the side. Says it all)
Most improved player: Adama Traore (gone from being a pace merchant with no end product to all-round explosive powerhouse of a winger)
Most disimproved player: Ryan Fraser (was touted to step up to the next level, linked with Arsenal, us, etc. Now his contract has run down and his output has massively regressed this season when he should really be hitting his peak.

We paid the first highest fee for a CB for him and our defensive record isnt as good as it was 2 years ago with the much complained about Smalling and Jones combo. We have conceded 1 less than a goal a game over 36 games, 2 years ago we conceded 10 less goals than the 38 games we played. We also scored 5 more goals, so unless we get 5 in our last 2 matches we scored less despite getting a ridiculous amount of penalties this season.
He's been a good signing if you ignore the fee. But for the money we paid he hasnt come slightly close
