Possible Brennan Johnson replacement, may force our hand especially with the Zirkzee news.



 
Cannot lose out on both Semenyo and Diomande.

Would love to see him in the EPL, has the physical and technical attributes to succeed.

But then again, it's Spurs, who aren't exactly the best club to play for at the moment. I thought Xavi Simons would be really good as well but he's struggled. Kudus hasn't been great as well.

Kudus and Diomande on the wings sure is a dangerous combination of speed, power and dribbling.
 
Only signed last summer for Leipzig, no release clause. No way he moves in winter and in summer it would take a truly silly sum. Don't see this happening, certainly not for Spurs.

I wouldn't want to sign for spurs.

Levy is gone, they have been struggling 2 years and everything is in turmoil.
 
Can’t claim to have watched any game of his. Based on the highlight videos, not sure he’ll be worth the price Leipzig would want for him. Fast and good carrying ability (traits we probably lack in the squad) but his control seems a little “loose”.
Not sure how that translates to the PL. But again, I ain’t no scout so what do I know?
 
Future LWB to play opposite of Amad. I am ready for the excitement.

If he's worth that then Amad is worth a world record fee.
 
Really don't like the idea of spending that much money on someone who has played 26 senior games

They don't want or need to sell him yet that's why obviously they'd quote a silly price. He's not moving in January and probably not in summer either unless some rich club gets really desperate.
 
I cannot stress enough how much of a bargain this would be.
 
After seeing the likes of Marmoush, Xavi Simons and Wirtz in 2025, I’m apprehensive about bringing in a Bundesliga attacking prospect.

And that’s not even without mentioning Mr.Freedom himself.

Yan Diomande is a unique talent in world football who if you place any value in data led scouting is absolutely worth £60M in a heartbeat.

I cannot stress enough how unique a player he is.
 
Leipzig signed him on a free from a Spanish club. Why do we not take more punts like this ?

He wasn’t signed on a free. He was purchased for €20m off the back of some outstanding La Liga performances and ridiculous data he put up playing for a relegation side.

He’s moved countries, clubs and up in terms of expectations and he’s already RB Leipzig’s best attacker. At 18 (now 19) he has reduced Nusa and Bakayoko to being 2nd and 3rd fiddle to him.

There are no guarantees in football, but his physical ability , technical ability and footballing brain are showing incredible signs and I’ve not seen a player this good this young since Yamal (not saying he’s as good but he’s not a million miles off it).

And that’s closer to his proper value at this point. 60m is the price point to start talking about players who have proven they’re hot in the PL
 
Also worth noting that even Ivory Coast instantly made him a starter and of all their attacking options including Amad, Diomande has been the one trusted to stay on the pitch the longest from starts.
 
Are we actually linked outside of a general appreciation? I don't buy it. Il need to watch the guy, but he's hyped to a level thats exciting. I remember Dorgu being hyped initially a lot too though.

You buy him to take advantage of him entering his peak.

Wingers dribble significantly less after around the age of 22.

So if you want an elite ball carrier, dribbler, and hard worker who is ambipedal and has shown he has “la pausa” then you sign Diomande.

Diomande is a different level to anything I’ve seen Dorgu do at any level in his development so far.

I really strongly believe a lot of you are sleeping here on a potentially world class talent who is already shown world class carrying and dribbling threat in both La Liga and Bundesliga now having only just turned 19.
