Nah.
Nusa has huge potential but his output is far too low and too inconsistent.
He also didnt develop much (or maybe at all) in the past 2 years.

Agree. Good player but needs a breakthrough in front of goal, similar to what Diomande did last season. At 21 theres time but theres currently a large gap between him and Diomande now.

Hourly updates on how the deal is still not done. He would probably cream his pants if this deal collapses

Romain Molina’s just posted a 30 min YouTube video of stuff about Diomande which doesn’t sound healthy.

Apparently Diomande’s had five agents in the last two years, so a bunch of potential lawsuit issues as there are multiple player agencies involved; his mother forging signatures to get him out of deals; some agent called Dez Bamba signing him up to a bunch of stuff and basically getting paid a shed load; and apparently there may be an issue over the fact some of his image rights have been signed off to an English company when he was still an academy player. Basically a bunch of litigious risks and supposedly partially why PL clubs and PSG have stopped sniffing around

"There is so much that happens behind the players' backs that the player does not even notice," Tah began. "You do not ask questions and actually do not want anything to do with it either. In the end, as a player you earn less money because the agent makes a deal with the club and pockets the money himself,"

These agent crap is very common with West African players. No fault of the players, though. So many agents get involved right from home and the players almost have no choice but to sign these deals or they never go to Europe. Saw it happen with a couple of friends.

Oh absolutely. @Acrobat7 ’s post about Tah’s comment must echo sentiments of so many players in the industry.

I would be very surprised if Diomande had any idea. Molina also alluded to the fact he was due to join Olympiacos only for a very swift u turn to Leganes (which worked in the end!) but this was entirely because Dez Bamba was going to get a bigger cut of the pie.

Regarding agent dispute

More the story rumbles on - the less interested people become.

A transfer saga is the worst. Just boring

The more these fees for potential get touted about the more I think football has lost it's mind. Diomande isn't anywhere near a 100Mil player. He's lightning fast sure - but it's hell of a gamble paying for potential. He looked quite clueless in the WC, he'll need a LOT of coaching to become an elite level player. If Diomande is 100 mil plus - imagine the fees for proven players like Dembele, Olise now.

That's silly money. I don't really get the extent of the buzz around Diomande, good talent but not so much so where it looks impossible to ignore. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he has a tough first season at Madrid, particularly with Mourinho in charge.

So he’s already training with them before even signing? Only Real get away with this stuff.

Dembele was the last BL player to get such a massive transfer after just one season in the league. Dembele's season though was much more impressive than Diomande's and he also had one impressive seasons in Ligue 1, so he had a lot more credibility to justify the high fee Barcelona paid.

This is just a crazy signing. No sense, other than hypothetical arguments of talent, in what Madrid are paying.

Agree. And I'd be concerned in case of what happened with Dembele as well. If Diomande gets a few injuries and isnt as fit, or loses a bit of pace is there as much to the rest of his game? For now I feel like its the pace and 2 footedness that are the factors behind his success

Yea he hasn't shown the technical skills Dembele showed in that season at Dortmund. Dembele's close range dribbling was better than Diomande, who seems to rely more on his speed.

Diomande is very talented but there's still a lot of uncertainty about how good he'll become. With Dembele it looked a lot more clear that he was going to become a great player.

I don't really get the hype with Diomande tbh. With so many big clubs after him for massive money they must see something very special in him, but he's not looked anything more than good in any of the games I've seen. Intrigued to see if he does make this massive leap in quality at Real

From the bits I've seen of him, it's that he's not only got the pace and skill to get past players for fun (which is already quite rare) but has also quite often shown the brains and composure to take the right option and accurately pick out a teammate after he's gotten into a dangerous position. So his ceiling could be something like Doku's pace and dribbling... but with an eye for a pass and end product, which would make for an absolutely terrifying player.

But yeah, right now he'll be all inconsistency and potential and paying well over 100m for that is still mad to me.

Maybe, but hes more of a goal threat himself with 12 goals to 8 assists. So hes good on both fronts but more often he finds a finish than sets up a teammate. The other interesting thing is that he scored more with his wrong foot - 7 with his left and 5 with his right. Making him dangerous regardless of which foot he has to use. Hes a bit like Nani in that sense, I remember at least one season where Nani scored more often with his left foot than his right coming inside.

Leipzig have done an amazing job, one of the greatest deals a club has pulled off. I think he was signed for around 20 mil euros and now getting 120 mil more after one season.

is he really that good? is he now the most expensive transfer in football history? i mean you'd expect that for someone like Lacey but Diomande?

Does this mean Vinicius is leaving or is Diomande more of a RW?

Romano doing a lot with this Diomande transfer. Posting an exclusive photo to show his sources.

He could have handled this whole thing much better but whatever.

5th most expensive by my calculations. Neymar, Mbappe, Isak, Rogers, Diomande then Anderson.

Football really is losing the plot!

Wirtz has fallen out of the top 5 already, yeah football is crazy.

Something tells me that he won't be worth the fee and Real will come to regret spending so much on him.

One good season is a small sample size to spend over 100m on.

I would prefer to pay 125M (€) from Diomande than same amount or more from Morgan Rogers.

Avoiding the point. 60m+ is not a “bargain”

Final fee to Real Madrid: "a deal worth in the region of €125m plus €15m in add-ons".

Some in Jan were turning their noses up at United hypothetically going for him for Semenyo money and near half the eventual fee...

Nope. With the way his haters went at him, he's more than justified to react like this. All he's doing is reporting news and people are up in arms about it.

Yeah, a lot of pressure on his shoulders.
Definitely. And he has a lot of growing up to do as a player. But the dude is extremely talented and has a chance to make it to the very top.

 When you put it like that it appears that I misjudged what clubs are willing to overpay

Has anyone else ever reached the point where, as a fan, if your club doesn't do things the way you'd hoped, you almost find yourself wanting everything to fall apart just to prove a point?

That's how I feel about the Rodri situation, and this poor guy hasn't done anything wrong. He is the most expensive signing in the club's history and I haven't even paid much attention to him.
I wonder what qualities or unique traits they saw in him to justify such a huge investment.

He is not an 18 Brazilian signed for 50 million, where you're almost guaranteed to make your money back eventually. That transfer fee is an incredibly heavy burden to carry.

The fees this summer are insane. He's got talent but that's ridiculous
