Yan Diomande

Which side is that then?

Diomande is more two-footed, and by the similar token more naturally interchangeable, than Ndiaye or Rayan.

Then cross that bridge at the end of next season then. Or use Diomande on the RW.

Leao is about to turn 27 and has had a lot of injury problems recently.
Probably the right side, but the league itself will be the judge. From viewing his highlights his games different on either flank, due to the physicality and pace of the league you’ll probably see a lean towards him staying on the side he dominates more. Sancho being an example. Semenyo too is largely played on his dominant side.

In terms of crossing that bridge, we probably will if reports of Leipzig wanted him to stay one more season. Which doesnt seem unreasonable for a 19yr old to decide.

Leipzig may prefer that, but for United they could say it's now or never in terms of having the funds and need for spending big on a winger.

I doubt United are prepared to spend 90m on him this summer. Considering the fees for 2 mids and a LB.
We’d more likely spend over our budget on Hall, as now seems the time to buy if theres any chance.

We can disagree, but I personally think he’ll be extending with Leipzig and the path to signing him is good relations and an early agreement with RB.

If he's going to leave RB it looks like we will probably make a move for him. It does seem more sensible all around to leave him there for one more season though.

I'm glad we are tapping into RB as it clearly is one of hottest talent pipeline going but they've also had plenty of expensive sales who've not nearly hit the heights expected. If Vivell wasn't here I'd be more skeptical but he's signing more good players than bad and he knows their setup intimately. Sesko looks great. If he says to go all in for this lad then I'm fully behind it. He does look like an exciting player for sure

I still feel we could put in the ground work this summer to sign him in summer 2027, think it will also depend on whether other clubs are interested now
