"Many men, many many many men."Why are people blaming Ole when it's clearly your fault SirA.
Dude.
We were not rubbish from the start at all, that's utter nonsense.Lots of players with no experience. Pressure is not really a variable of measurement when you are a big club, from the start we were rubbish and Oles subs were awful.
He's too blame too. Its his job to make sure players play with the right intensity. And from the start of the game they didn't. And he made poor substitutions afterwards. It was bad game all around, coach included. We put on some poor performances in the CL under Ferguson, but we had momentum with us going into this match yet we were strangely dour.
I’m tempted to blame Ole but this display really does come down to poor player performances.
Agree, just cant except its 2 Errors cost us AWB , Jesse just thinks we keep the ball, roll it to keeper kick it out full time he just doesnt get it right. It happens we stuff them at OT on grass.Time to log off from here and not come back until the weekend. Let the Ole outers have their parade.
Greenwood isn't Elanga, which is who my original post was about. Greenwood is much more experienced so I think it would have been a good idea to bring him on.You’re naive to think that fans reaction Greenwood missing and not playing for a draw is why Ole didn’t bring him on.
Eh?Don’t get changing what you original said now!
What did you see in this performance that makes you think we'll do any of that?we will win our home games and one away and this will be enough. glad we lost here and not in the league.
We have Rolls Royce players with a learner driver at the wheel.Last year’s vibes…we are loosing to minions again in the group stage
we wont go down to 10 every game. until then we did okWhat did you see in this performance that makes you think we'll do any of that?
Oh shut up. Would Pool, City or Chelsea perform like that with 10 men ? If a team is well coached like those teams, playing with 10 men wouldnt make that much of a difference against a team like Young Boys. Its a fecking team that would struggle in the championship. Im fed up of this mediocrity that has been surrounded around this club for almost a decade. WTF was Ole thinking with those subs ?Of course not.
It's utter nonsense
This. I could see the point of "overreacting" to being down to ten. On a faster surface it will show a lot more.Im willing to bet everyone are very, very happy we're never going back to an artificial grass pitch
Ive been guilty of slagging Ole off way harder than he deserves, he’s done well in fits and starts, but to just write the game off to some bad moments is too simplistic, because we’ve seen this happen on multiple occasions now. It's a split in the fan base. You have the realistic people who see Ole for what he is, a nice guy and a club legend but a terrible manager. He can build a squad but he can't coach to save his life and he apparently can't bring in intelligent assistant coaches to do his job. He should have never been given the job permanently. Then you have the other side who remembers him scoring the most important goal in club history and won't even pretend to judge him fairly.
I don`t. This was the worst game because we played against Young Boys and were dominated 80% of the game.we say that every few weeks under ole.
I think four points will do - it's Atalanta we have to beat twiceFor me we have to now beat Villarreal home and away.
Jesse fecking Gerrard: How to bottle it like a pro. 2nd edition.Jesse fecking Lingard
Yeah and part of the reason our midfield is so weak is because he is afraid to sell off players that aren't important to the club. Martial, Lingard, Bailly, Lindelof. No reason we need all of these players. Should have forced a few out and gotten a midfielder. Instead he shows faith in players that have proven time and time again that they can't be counted on. He doesn't have what it takes to be a top manager. Quicker he's gone the better.Ive been guilty of slagging Ole off way harder than he deserves, he’s done well in fits and starts, but to just write the game off to some bad moments is too simplistic, because we’ve seen this happen on multiple occasions now.
Once is an accident, twice (and above) is a pattern…
If we collapse every time there’s pressure, something is not right with the coaching. Midfield is a weak point sure, but we should have enough to see out a game like this, even with 10 men
Poetry ImodiumPoetry in motion
but we did not need our 11 best to win , we needed 11 that wanted to win the game, looed like we had 10 that were not bothred! You've just won big at the weekend, don't be a clever clogs and just play your best 11 men.....
I so regret posting this now.Jordan Siebatcheu was a beast for me in FM back when I use to play it. so cool to now actually see him in a real game against us.
It’s absolutely true that ultimate accountability falls on the manager. But surely it must also be true that Ole isn’t responsible for the red card and the horrifying back pass. He's too blame too. Its his job to make sure players play with the right intensity. And from the start of the game they didn't. And he made poor substitutions afterwards. It was bad game all around, coach included.
It doesn't mean Ole out, just he got it wrong today.
We should still easily win this group regardless of what happened today
Laughing at my own comment now...This game is calling out for Lingard. He can carry the ball so well.
We had control of the game when it was 11 v 11. We were comfortably 1-0 up while creating chances with Ole's tactics for the first 30 mins. We went too defensive for my liking in the second half but even then we made a chance for Ronaldo for which the penalty wasn't given. Our midfielders constantly try flicks or keep the ball too long to get out of pressure instead of just buying a foul or passing it back quickly. We simply do not have a single capable CM in the entire squad. The players will have to take responsibility alongside the coaching staff.I wouldn't say we had control of the game. Been battered second half.
I don't feel Bissaka deserved a red but Jesse was a clown at the end. Just clear your lines with seconds to go!
This however falls on Ole. Awful subs and game management. Tactics were nowhere to be seen, he looked like a fraud tonight.
We have assembled a great team that should comfortably cope with 10 men Vs Young Boys... The coaching on the other hand is championship level and will be our undoing.
Comparable to last seasons CL as a wholeIt's so lazy comparing this to Instanbul last season. Defeats nothing like each other.
To be fair to you, I’m guessing you thought he’d come on as an attacking player rather than a defensive midfielderLaughing at my own comment now...
He can pass tooLaughing at my own comment now...
Fred was one of our best players in the 2nd half but ok.Comparable to last seasons CL as a whole
1. Fred should have been sent off and he was stupid enough to keep him on.
2. Istanbul.
3. 5 at the back against Red Bull to get a draw. Conceedng twice in first ten from the fullbacks being tucked in for no reason.
Not subbing on Pogba til the 60th minute when we needed to win.
When these things keep happening we can't just keep saying it's individual error
pretty sure he is just referencing Fred that game where clearly he was going to get a second yellow and sent off if kept on, and sure enough that happened.Fred was one of our best players in the 2nd half but ok.
I'm talking about the PSG game from last year. Not todayFred was one of our best players in the 2nd half but ok.
Of course but not sure what the relevance here is.pretty sure he is just referencing Fred that game where clearly he was going to get a second yellow and sent off if kept on, and sure enough that happened.
Everything after the red is on him. He set up the team to just sit and hoof it back to YB. zero shot attempts after the red. ZERO ATTEMPTS. Not shots on goal, but attempts. A decent little chunk of this too is after they get the equalizer. Conceding the midfield and just bringing a back 5 doesnt make you stronger defensively. Very poor tactical knowledge from Ole being shown. How was the result Oles fault?. Did he tell AWB to get a red card, did he tell Jesse to pass the ball backwards towards goal on 95 mins, after a resolute defending performance. A 1-1 was the best result after sending off. They had long shots and 2 very fortunate goals, and on another day stronger ref we get a pen as well. Just one if those days.
I hope this isn’t serious. So he made a substitution and that person made a huge mistake and that’s on the manager. Well good thing he started Ronaldo because he scored. He literally subbed Lingard onto the pitch.
