Pick your all-time best/favourite side but it has to be subject to the following rules (Club or international):
If 4-4-2:
Here's an example (5-2-3):
Your turn...
If 4-4-2:
- RB & RW/LB & LW played on same team i.e. Beckham & Neville and Cole & Pires
- Defensive Trio (GK & 2CB's) played on same team
- Midfield Duo
- Pair of Forwards (can be a 10 and 9 or an attacking midfielder and 9)
- GK and Libero played on same team
- Wing Backs and Side CB's on the same team
- Midfield duo or trio*
- Subject to above Attacking Duo or Trio
- RB-RCB/LB-LCB played on same team (GK must be part of either of these pairs to form a trio)
- Midfield trio
- Attacking Trio
- Pick pairings/trios on genuinely great relationships/performances in their prime (not just players who played together post retirement or a spell in USA)
- Not permitted to pick a pair or trio which overlaps with a player from another pair/trio i.e. If you pick Evra-Vidic as a LB/LCB duo, you cannot then pick Cristiano as part of the attacking trio, even if it is from the time he played for Real Madrid. Same goes for players who featured in same international sides during the same generation.
- Pick players based on their best positions, don't go for 3-5-2 and then put someone like Thuram as a right-wing back when he doesn't really have any experience of playing as a wing-back in a 3-5-2. There is some leeway with this rule but try and keep it realistic.
Here's an example (5-2-3):
