Thought it would be fun if everyone posted their favourite United game from before they were born that most people may not be aware of, almost like a brains trust to help each other expand our knowledge of our club.
I’ll begin:
1) United 3-0 Barca (1984) - Robbo dragging us past a Maradona-led Barca after we had lost 2-0 in Spain, when it was thought that he might leave the club at the end of that season.
2) United 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday (1958) - Our first game after Munich. Jimmy Murphy kept the red flag flying high.
3) Bolton 2-0 United (1958) - FA Cup Final. We made the first cup final after Munich. That is Manchester United, and that is why I hate it when we get knocked out of the FA Cup.
Would appreciate it if everyone kept it as genuinely unknown as possible! For example, not the European Cup Final in 1968.
