Maybe a day early but meh, not sure the game tomorrow will change much.

My nominees:

1. Fred
2. Sancho
3. Martial
4. Dalot
5. Maguire

Side note. Imagine how pissed off we’d all have been if we’d known at the end of last season that the above 5 players would be topping anyone’s list at the end of this pre-season?!?

How do you leave out Malacia?

Breath of fresh air versus that jogger Luke Shaw.

Top in no particular order:

Fred
Sancho
Martial
Dalot
de gea

De gea I stuck on there as I think his performances have gone under the radar. Hasn't looked out of place with the ball at his feet.

What the hell has Maguire done to get picked in so many posters top 5?!

Slightly less shit then last year? Could hardly do any worse tbf.

Anyways:

Fred
Malacia
Sancho
Dalot
Martial

All the first team players have been good tbh. Malacia I'm very happy with, Shaw i think will be back in form this season provided fitness stays good, but they'll push each other. Rashford looks confident again which is good, we'll need him. Maguire good too.

McTominay, lindelof and de Gea have mostly been "more of the same".

Disappointing performers for me would be:
  1. Elanga
  2. Amad
  3. Wan Bissaka
  4. Donny
  5. Bruno

Stop being miserable Pogue. Sancho we should expect to be one of the best players in the league, Fred has been among our best players every year for the past 3 seasons and starts for Brazil as well. We have plenty of quality players though. Just missing a few pieces. Nobody should be pissed off at someone like Sancho being our best/most important player, he would be that at most clubs in the world.

Honourable mention to Iqbal. I will freely admit I find it hard to judge Lindelof and Maguire, I think they have done well, possibly enough to make the top five but their role in our earlier games is just hard for me to recall.

Iqbal deserves a mention too.

1. Sancho
2. Martial
3. Fred
4. Dalot
5. Zidane

In that order. Genuinely tempted to put Eriksen in there based on how impactful he looked today but felt like it would be slightly reaching…

No specific order.

Also Zidane should be mentioned but wanted to name to ones i believe will be the ones that will play during the season, even if i hope we get to see a lot more of him.

Same, except I’d likely swap Dalot and Maguire.

I’m now tempted to find a way to crowbar in Garnacho.
He did manage to only play an hour and yet somehow come out of preseason as our second best wide player. Not sure if that’s testament to his talent or an indictment of our other wingers mind.
