Could be a stroke of genius this signing.
He will probably rotate with Mainoo.

Thought he had all paint testers on the table with him. Not messing around re-designing his hotel room.

Interesting how he will slot in, possibly goes straight in the starting line-up as he's undisputed quality on the ball. Wonder how much his lack of athleticism will hurt us though. For Carricks counter attacking football, might not matter that much, in fact is a great fit, but would like to see someone with more legs, so we can also transition into a high press team as the time goes. 35m for such a player is a steal though.

Unless we buy a more experienced player between now and next month, one would think he will start from day one.

Think he's nailed on to start the first game and rightly so. He's the senior midfielder at the club now.

I don't get the fascination with high press but you can absolutely do that with Tielamans in the team. If you want to.

High press needs good possession. So if/when you lose the ball you're all nicely up the field and well set.

PL experienced player with some range in his passings. He will not rotate with Mainoo. Mainoo will drop in pecking order, he will learn a thing or two though. Fantastic CM signing. Hopefully he gets club ethos and give his last 4-5 years at top level to us.

Welcome home FM16 Anderlecht Legend.

Very smart signing. Apart from being one of the Top 5 PL midfielders, he brings tonnes of PL and Champions League experience, and very good communicator with teammates and refs. Over the last years he seems to have developed that capacity to carry his team through rough patches. Did it at the WC, Belgium Vs Senegal. You will love him.

He’s looking lean, which is good. When he’s fit he is an incredibly classy player. Hope to see a wonder goal or 2 from him too.

If we don’t sign anymore midfielders (I still think we will), then I can see us starting Santos and Mainoo behind Bruno, with Tielemans roating in whenever needed. Don’t think he’ll be a starter at least initially.

I saw a short just there online Sam from Utd people tv where he makes a fairly decent point. All of the players we've been linked with for the final position are all left footed players who can play midfield or left back in a pinch
Lewis Skelly
Camavinga
Baleba is left footed
Hall is the only out and out left back but he's comfortable sitting into the middle and letting 5 or 6 players go forward into the attacking 3rd

He might be onto something profile wise. I would say one of the above will be the final piece this summer depending on the market

Ine cost £75m the other £35m

I think we got the better version at a much lower price.

I'm sure Berrada, Wilcox, and Vivell have access to this and far more data, and ultimately made the right call. This is why I have zero concerns about our transfer activity as long as Vivell is at United.

I would love both Baleba and Hall. Camavinga I would be ok with as well.

I don't think we can afford or need both. Camavinga is the highest ceiling, the biggest wages and the biggest risk.

Hall really is what you want longer term for a PL team but he's no better than what Shaw is now. Shaw is probably still a better player to be honest. At the same age for me it was no competition whatsoever. It's a weird market for fullbacks these days

Skelly is an interesting one depending on the price. Could be an inspired signing if shaw stays fit for most of the season

None of them are bad options really per se

He will be so good for us. The quality of his vision and passing is great.
I don’t understand people crying for Fernandes or Anderson. Tielemans is better than both.
