I dont think Thomposon will play many games for the senior NT so he will surely be planned for the U21 as will Louis Page if he joins us. But yeah sounds like we didn't sign a lot.
 


Official PL website do seem to think that it’s a done deal.
 
Ogenneye and Scanlon to Arsenal is a strange one neither are huge prospects

Wouldn’t surprise me if they were copying data form Transfermarkt, who have the two in our squads despite no official confirmation.
 
Are we about to get a sell on for Willy Kambwala? Seems to be nearing a move to Como.

Habeeb and Scanlon medicals are done. Both free transfers with 40% sell on fee.
Standard are claiming Sevilla wanted Scanlon on a permanent deal in January but it was rejected so they could send him on loan to Swindon which was an awful move. Should have just taken the money there and then

Bit of a weird one with the 40% sell on? We'd probably have ended up letting them go on free transfers by the end of this season and didn't want to stand in their way. Surely it'll be the same outcome at Arsenal? Obviously before that it's another season or two in the shop window for the players, they get the promotion from the transfer and I assume a bump in wages while we get to let others through to get game time but it's still such a strange move from Arsenal.

If it was a club like Burnley or something it would make a bit more sense as one of the lads might just really kick on and become a squad player but you'd assume they would be quickly loaning them out this season too...
 
James Overy set to join Sydney FC according to Simone Stone.

Liked him but never really got a consistent, injury free run of games & he has others like Kamason & Helafu ahead of him. Should hopefully get regular senior minutes and then maybe look for a move back to Europe.

They’ll be playing for Arsenal’s u21s, not going on loan.

Apparently they have a few injuries and don’t have enough players so they’re just filling a gap in their u21s for a year before heading off to the lower leagues as they would have done otherwise.
 
Surprised with the Overy sale - if Kamason goes on loan, we don't have a right back for the u21s. Could be the player looking to move back to Australia potentally

We are going to be short somewhere - be it u21s or u18s. I don't think any of the new scholars play right back? Feels like we are really thin at that position compared to say centre midfield

Camacho has played a lot of football at right-back. You've also got one of the most highly rated U16 right-backs in Joey Akinsanya if need be.
 
I think right back is one of the areas we tend to give centre backs and midfielders games in too. McEvoy and McCormack for instance I noticed filled in there last season.

Arsenal are quite short on Left Wingers so there is a small window of opportunity for Scanlon to get a couple of cup games if he's lucky. Then it's up to him to seize that opportunity.

They’ve got about 10 options before they’d ever consider Scanlon.

If they’re going for a random young player they’ve got someone like Bailey-Joseph who has far more potential.

Arsenal regularly play players out of position as well. Dowman, MLS, Saka, Eze, Jesus, Madueke, Martinelli, Nwaneri, Havertz. Literally any of these would be played over Scanlon.

Scanlon plays left wing like someone played out of position anyway, he can’t beat a fullback to save his life. They’ll go the much easier route of playing a far better player there out of position if need be.
 
£750k + for Williams to Peterborough looks like good business, he was awful today. I'd be very surprised if he had a career above League 1

I've been hearing it described as a sell-on of "up to" 50%. If Man Utd were smart, they'd have it so it rises to 50% if he is sold without ever playing a first team game. If he plays, his value increases anyway, and will balance out or even outweigh the drop in sell-on %.
 
United have signed U15 Manuel Appiah Boakye following his departure from Leicester.

Eze & Cassim done now, just waiting on Konde. Although, I did notice that Cassim wasn't listed in the squad lists that were published by the PL the other day, so not sure what's up with that.

Not sure when we'll see them though because they haven't had a proper pre-season and I think Eze isn't long back from a knee injury.

 
If Cassim is a success - you just know that some tabloid will call him Cassimiro at one stage

Liverpool's Isaac Konde is set to be the latest addition, with Manchester City duo David Eze and Karim Cassim, just waiting for official clearance before their moves are confirmed.

Konde, 16, made six appearances for Liverpool's Under-18 side last term and is set to go into Darren Fletcher's Under-18 squad once his move is completed.

Capable of playing on either wing, or through the middle, Konde is said to have blistering pace and excellent close control."

Real shame we dint get joseph as well. Arsenal did well to get him after it seemed like everything was agreed with us . Wonder if we look for other strikers next summer .
