So, we have 18 years old Amass who is the first choice on loan at SW, we have Diego Leon, also 18 years old playing for Academy, we have Dorgu, 21 years old that we just spent fortune on, and we are investing in 17 years old LB who is not even the backup in the club to our own 18 years old LB who is "struggling" in the Championship
Players develop at different rates.
I wouldn’t be surprised if León and Dorgu were sold within the next couple of years.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Amass was the first one sold.
That is also possible, although I doubt it.
There is a queue of clubs that are waiting if Amass is available, including in the Premier League so we may get reasonable money.
Maybe we get offers for Dorgu and decide to move on from him in the summer but I expect he was bought knowing he would need a lot of time.
Leon needs time to settle before he can be judged.
sure, but also players need to play to develop and 4 of them can not play at the same time to develop. Especially if you have some other options as well, more experienced on that position. Since we will probably sell Amass this summer (at the moment it looks like our academy will be used for that only), I guess Leon might go on loan, but still can not see this kid play for us. So, probably playing in the reserves (or U18) is an option, or loan. In that case better for him to stay at SW and play senior football once Amass leave.
Think Amass will be sold in January only. His contract expires in 2027.
If we sign Alao he'll go into our U21s since we hardly have any LB there without counting Leon, who has a good chance to go on loan in Jan by all account. He won't be anywhere near our first team yet so this discussion is quite meaningless.

He played exactly once in the league (for a club that struggled so much to pull together a squad) so not exactly a first teamer yet there. Without even talking about Amass, Leon would be more developed than him so he's most likely will just join in the U21s if he joins us. There's nothing wrong with that, he's younger than both of them.
And yes, he shouldn't go to United or Liverpool yet if you ask me. Trying to get more/regular game times in League One next year (assuming relegation obviously) should be a better route. But you never know about the big clubs pull for these kids.

So we are linked with Tyjon and was linked with Yusi Alao, but nothing has happened on both these fronts.
His younger brother Zico, also a keeper, is in the U14s while other younger brother, Otis, used to be with us but is now doing well at Brentford.
We seem to sign a keeper every window for the academy.
