End of the day, we relying on a 19 year old to be our creative force out wide. Anyone thinking Di Maria wouldn't do a better job than our current wingers is foolish.

Young and Valencia will hopefully be gone in the summer.

I can't see Young ever going to take a pay cut. So if the club doesn't want him, I can only see him running his contract down before moving on.

You think he'd force a stay if he knew he'd get no playing time? I think not.

feck if I was on his money I would love nothing more than sitting on the bench keeping warm.

What club is going to offer him a deal even close to what he is receiving now? He is a person, he needs to look out for himself, this is massive money for very little work, he would be an idiot to get rid of that.

I don't see it happening. What money is he thought to be making anyway? He's got ambitions to stay in the England side, he had a pretty good time at Villa, being the main man. He'll earn decent money elsewhere and play. I don't think there's anything surprising about how you'd love to sit on a bench and watch your favorite team play football, drinking in the atmosphere and get loads of money to do so. Hazard a guess that it's a different reality. Can't think of many players though who stay despite their clubs wanting rid. Only plenty who take being relied-upon-briefly few-minutes players..

Most reports have him on around 120k a week. He would be lucky to get 60k at any other of the big clubs.

Times are reporting we've agreed personal terms with Coentrao. That's often a bollocks way of writing what sounds like an interesting story while being able to claim it was an issue between the clubs if it doesn't materialise.

Ludicrous if true. But I still don't think he'd stay if pushed even if true.
How reliable are these sources? I remember ridiculous claims about Welbeck being reluctant to sign a contract for less than some stupid amount, which turned out to be something far less. Then recently, the rumors that Fabio wants parity with his brother, allegedly on 120k a week. A player who's hardly played. How accurate can these reports be?

The amount was said when he first signed and is still the same amount. I have not seen any source say anything different.

I think those reports are true. I've heard it many times from different sources.

Koke, Reus, Gundogan, Mangala & Shaw? You'll need more than £100m in your wallet Davie.

There is a shit load of money sat there, no one can deny that. It's just going to be very alarming if a huge chunk of that isn't spent on good players in the SUMMER.

The position is only due to get better once the Chevy kit deal is activated.

The club have briefed the press that there's a lot of money available for Moyes. We'll see, we've been briefing a lot of things and not backed it up with actions.

Absolutely hate the bones of Di Maria because he is a diving playing acting twat, but as a footballer he's exactly what we're crying out for from a winger. A well-rounded top class winger who contributes goals, lays on deadly passes, whips in a mean cross and has the balls to run at defenders with the ability to go with both feet.

But he's held in high regard at Real and it'd take them getting an even better player to let him go. Someone in that mould has to be on our radar because most of us agree that the wings are in much need of change as the centre.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Mirror and Express running with stories about us having 100m+ to spend too. Shame we can't find anyone to spend it on, which is odd considering how bad people on here have been saying the squad is lately, you'd think any old player would improve us, seems not though.

this is making a mockery of the theory Moyes was hired to spend little to no money. Which I entertained, a bit. Then it'd be:
Glazers: Moyes, we want to hire you. First you have to go through the bloodsucker obstacle course, a) you'll not get a lot of money; b) we'll publicly say you have as much money as you can dream of, and c) you also tell the press you have carte blanche to spend as much as you want, but remember, you don't actually do it.

Ducker, who has close links to Old Trafford, has posted in his article that we're very keen on agreeing a deal for Coentrao, and still keen on other targets such as Reus and Koke.

feck me, could imagine if we signed those three in the next three weeks. Unlikely, I know, but that would put the shits back up the rest of them.

If we sign those three by September 1 I'll be delighted.

Could probably just about get those 3 for about £100m if Woody worked his magic. But are wages included in this kitty?

Reus ~ £45 million
Koke ~ £35 million
Coentrao ~ £15 million

It is doable. Also, if we are going to be ruthless about this with our transfers out, the money we recoup from the departure lounge (Buttner £6 million and Anderson ~£10 million) would offset any increase in the wage structure.
