Alexandre Pato

I don't think it's a good idea. Signing Pato would push Hernandez out the door and if Pato doesn't work out which is a strong possibility, we'll be in even worse shape. If we sign a striker I want someone who the manager won't think twice about dropping Rooney for if they are in better form. I could see him doing it for Ibrahimovic or Kane, but not Pato.

Wouldn't mind a loan with a on option to buy in a year or so. It is astonishing how his stock has fallen rapidly given the hype around him 7 or so years ago

I heard he played as a winger lately and been a lot better than upfront.

Reading the Wikipedia summation of his time with Corinthians wouldn't fill me full of hope that he would be the solution to our issues. Can't see us taking a punt given how Falcao worked out.

Work permit?
too old to qualify as a special talent
does not have enough international caps in the last 2 years (last game 2013)
not married to a european or dating anybody with ties to this country
did he get an italian passport / nationality when he played there??? if not I cant see how its even legaly possible

That said if it is legally possible I'd take anybody right now as I'm convinced that september 1st Rooney breaks a leg and we have fellaini up top till Xmas:nervous:

I wouldn't mind him as a cheap option or a pay as you play given his injury record, reckon he still has the potential but that's probably all emotion, he isn't really good enough.

Very very quick!!! Always thought he'd be one of the best players in world football. Didn't work out for him and wouldn't want him here.

How would he look as the right sided forward?

He was the heir to the throne of my favourite player ever (R9) and had the talent to actually get close. Last time I saw him he didn't look that good, but by virtue of what I have seen him do before, and the fact that he's 25 (only) - my heart will always want to give it a shot.

its quite obvious that his ageny is desperately trying to market him around and has basically paid for ad space....linking him with united and chelsea might spike the interests of some smaller european cluns who may think they are getting a 'united target' so he must be good...

But if we did sign him or were even seriously considering him, then heass would habe to roll at this football club...

And i would rather have falcao back

Hasn't he been turned down by Sunderland literally three or four weeks ago? Is he suddenly good enough for us?

There's been some Brazilian football on BT sport and I've seen him play a couple of times, he's still quick and skillful but anything more than a loan or a very low fee would be too risky.

I'd love for this to happen.

His stats are quite decent as well.

What happen to him, it look like he will be really good and suddenly he faded off.

57 games in 2013
44 games in 2014
35 so far this year.

Far to say his injury problems are behind him?

We could as well bring Anderson back.
Aparently Pato has been fit in the last 2 years, and since his transfer to Brazil he has been fit 3 seasons out of 4.

Was convinced that he'll be the best player in the world back then. Anyway, now is too late although the muppet on me would probably like to see an Owe type of trasfer for him.

I remember watching him lead the line in a Milan derby back in 2008-09 and was amazed at the footballing intelligence he had for such a young player.

Shame the way it has gone for him.
