We've been linked with a January bid for Isco and if we guarantee him game time, I think he will push for a move.
We simply have to back Mourinho to the hilt. I know Somme will say we've spent £150m. If Mourinho feels we have to spend More , that's what we have to do.
Last two managers have made the same complaint. Although, I think we have more tools at our disposal this season, I do think we need more men in January if we can do it. My personal solution is move Mkhitaryan in field and sign another fast, tricky and direct attacker but those aren't available mid-season.

It took him an allegef 6 page love letter to the club and how many months of preparation. He bought 4 players that he said were the 4 he needed and that after that his business was done. Now 5 games into the prem we need a creative player... this has to be a joke.

Mourinho never said that though. It's not even implied that he wants to sign another player. OP (and MEN article) is very misleading.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan already lost his chance with the media and fan base then? Ok!
Mkhitaryan has to play. Whether centrally or out wide. But just him coming into the team might not be enough.

Isco? He's not that good is he?

Before we get him, yes.

After we get him, no, "he's shit".

Miki was THE best player in Germany last year (and before people mention Kagawa, Miki is 5 times the player). He has to be given a run. End thread.

He probably thought Rooney would y'know do.... something

Ultimately, we won't create chances until we form a cohesive unit.

Youre right it doesnt. Im just reading it now. The tweet is far fetched, doesnt quote him directly, article says

M.E.N. Sport understands the United manager has been 'repeatedly moaning' creativity is lacking in his squad.

Its just Silly. The leading assister in Serie A and the Bundesliga and its not enough?? simply bizarre. imagine buying the top scorers in Serie A (higuain) and the Bundesliga (Lewa or Auba) and saying we lack goals. There is no credibility in this idea. The manager needs to find a system that gets the best out of the players rather than just throwing money constantly and hoping it sticks. I am sure Pep would get Miki and Pogba creating and looking good. Miki hasn't even been given one half of football. How many minutes has he played? yet his creativity is being dismissed. I refuse to believe that Jose has said this as it would be a sign of him panicking which would be very disturbing...

Put the creative players in positions where they can create then. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Mkhi can't get on the pitch, Mata is in and out but can't do much from the right, Herrera plays well but then gets benched, Pogba is too deep. All because the world revolves around Wayne Rooney, who occupies the space where our most creative players need to be.

I'd honestly rather see Fellaini as a 10 then Rooney.

Isco is a very nice player, but he would be another example of us buying players with little to no idea of how they would fit into the
bigger picture.

Yeah WTF, he's barely played yet, this guy needs to be given a chance once he's fit to see if he can provide the creative spark.
My exact utterance when reading that. WTF. Come on, he needs to get a good run before we write him off. Should play tonight to get something going.

He hasn't said anything to be fair

Exactly. I'm sure he's also been 'repeatedly moaning' about basic defensive errors. So I guess the next article Luckhurst pulls out his arse can link us with a load of random defenders.
You're right. PR machine is in overdrive here for someone.

Even if we get Isco it won't change anything. He will look clueless in the current system. Players don't work hard enough and make off the ball movements to make life easy for player in possession. Our game with and without ball is very poor.

I'm not Evras biggest fan but if we had fecked him off after a poor start. .......

Firminho was garbage at the dippers etc, when you pay BIG money and wages you have to give a chance to that player.

If not Ed should be asking questions. .....

All looks speculation. Everything is 'M.E.N. sport understands...' which doesn't mean shit and on top of that it is the clown Luckhurst reporting it.

Let's be honest, if we were desperate for creativity - we'd lineup with something like

Rashford
Martial - Mata - Mkitaryan
Pogba/Herrera/Fellaini - Carrick/Blind

Ibra/Rooney/Pogba aren't going to be dropped
Ibra/Rooney/Mata in the same team is too slow
Mata is ineffective on the right
Fellaini offers little by way of control or creativity

I doubt this is the case

United have more than enough creativity. I'm not Blind's biggest fan but I think he'd be perfect to play as a deep DM in a 433. Then you can have Miki, Pogba, Martial supplying Zlatan, as well as Blind himself

Isco is a very nice player, but he would be another example of us buying players with little to no idea of how they would fit into the
bigger picture.
I think isco would fit in very nicely as our #10.

We'd be more creative if we could field a midfield capable of getting the ball into our attackers quickly. We don't though.

In a sense he is right. Out of our attackers only Mkhi, Mata and from deeper Pogba can be creative. But Martial and Rashford aren't particuarly creative - they are direct and quick, which is great, but the team needs a balance. Rooney used to be creative. Zlatan is a focal point that can finish off moves and has good link up play but isn't exactly creative.

A mix of Mata/Mkhi/Pogba and the directness of Rashford and Martial, when playing well, should give us a good balance.

We have struggled creating chances for a few years now, as far back as the end of Sir Alex's last season it became apparant.

Jose doing a LVG here. If I was Ed I'd be somewhat miffed, you asked for four and you got 4, get on with it. Just to remind you, we got:

The world's most expensive player
Ligue 1's best player
Bundesligas best player
And a promising centre half.

Your responsibility laddo, man up. MAKE it work.

Feck isco, let's get casemiro, you know a defensive midfielder who lets the other 2 play football.

There's definitely something in that. We certainly need to create a platform to allow Pogba to go and play his natural game. Mkhitaryan too. Reinforcements are need at the back and deep in midfield.
