Is Weird? I would say it's a bit more than weird. He's showing clear signs of being a psychopath. Anyone who's been working a bit higher up in an organisation know these kind of people. He signed Miki to bully him.
Holy shit man, that made me
Yes, I bet Mourinho signed Miki for a truckload of cash, so he could take the piss out of him in public and in private, to fulfill some sick pleasures. FailFish

I can't stand Mourinhos mentality when we play big clubs. He looks more scared for every time and then tries to talk like we had the chance to win against Chelsea if we only had put away our chances :houllier:. I'm fearing the Arsenal game will be one of our biggest defeats ever.
He is not really a manager who goes out all attacking though. This is evident in most of the teams he manages. If his team scores a goal, he is then capable of shutting up shop, just like they did against Barcelona or any other top club. However, I am not sure (if anyone can confirm this) if he is the sort of manager who is capable from coming back from a 1 goal or 2 goal deficit simply because he prefers security more than anything else, score, shut up shop, score, shut up shop. He needs to change his methods of managing because as a team, we are not known for scoring then shutting up shop. That is my take, but I am more than willing to be proved wrong since it is considered as an small opinion and happily not a fact (I am referring to the bolded part).

Why would he sign Mikhytarian to bully him when he was coming to a club that had a player whom he ready successfully bullied out of a previous club?

Surely a psychopath would prefer to re-terrorize a previous victim than take a chance on a new one.
Jose is a special kind of psycho that needs to find new blood to terrorize. Mata is old news and as a testament to Mourinho's total lack of sanity, Mata now gets to wear the armband.

Maybe it's all part of a ridiculous convoluted long term plan to make Miki the captain of Jose's next club.

I heard someone mentioned on here he's never come back when being one goal behind at half time. Can't confirm that though.

Why trojan horse? That makes it seem like he's infiltrated us with nefarious intentions. The OP outlines why he might be a horrible man, a bad manager, for wrong choice etc. But surely even @Successful doesn't think he's a plant, who's come here specifically to sabotage us?

Trojan horse? What a load of nonsense. Okay, I wasn't in favour of us bringing in Mourinho because I didn't think that he's a United manager. But let's face it, the problems go far deeper than the manager. We're still struggling to get to grips with losing SAF. Sacking Mourinho now would be absolute madness. Let's give him the chance to turn this all around. He needs time to bring in his players, get the system right and get a bit of momentum.

Let's stick with him.

If you give me some time, I will check it out. If that is the case, and with our strikers being "off-form", then it is going to be a hard struggle until the end of the season. Either way, the match against Arsenal is crucial, because if he loses that one, then he will have played against 4 top 6 sides and drawn 1 and lost 3. Should we lose the match against Arsenal, this puts more pressure on him to beat Feyenoord at home in a very crucial game, a game that is a must win to keep us in Europe. I'll stick by José, but it is not looking pretty for him at the moment.

Misleading title.. OP needs to learn what a trojan horse is.

As for Mourinho being a psychopath, I assume you would say the same for Pep? He booted out Hart and froze Yaya for a comment by his agent. Nasty psychopath.

As for Mkhitaryan, I am loving this theory. Mourinho scouting for the best player to bully, convince the board to pay all that money just so he can have someone to bully. Perfect. Nothing to do with Mkhitaryan being a very slow starter and took him 2 years at Dortmund to settle in. Can't be Jose realising he's not at the right level yet. No, that would be a crazy theory. The truth must be Mourinho bought him so he could bully him. It was obvious from the start!

@Successful I agree with some parts of your post, especially when you say that he is not a team builder however to say that is bullying Mkhitaryian It seems excessive.
The managers payroll is something completely irrelevant.
You say that he has a plan to overtake the power in the club, maybe that's the way to see finally the "real Mourinho" that people is demanding.
Attacking players in front of the press to create the opinion of "our players are lazy, not commited,Mourinho is the man for the job".
Curiously today there is an article about the dressing room, treating Mourinho as a fireman that comes to fix the problem.
I am not a fan of him but he is very intelligent and probably every statement has been previously studied.
Mkhitaryian in the bench,Schweinsteiger out and Rooney losing his power in the squad. You could see it in a negative way or in a positive one: meritocracy,"I don't care if you are a legend or a new transfer,if you don't give 100 per cent you won't play ".
I didn't like what he did with Schweinsteiger but don't let yourself be carried away with sympathies for players. If he is at United is because he wants money or didn't accept a loan.
I remember during his time in Madrid,he spoke with Kaká, to tell him to look for a new club but Kaká preferred his 10 m€ net.
In short,I would try to see this as a long process where he needs time before the football debate starts to point him.
If he is doing this surely he has full support of the club.
Anyway, to be clear I don't like him,I was anti Mourinhista during his time in Madrid and I consider that his tactics and systems have to change a lot if he wants to get something but that's another matter.

You fear mourinho:lol:. the LVG stuff is gold too. the bit about signing players to bully because there's not enough to bully at the club is genius as well. thanks for this light comic relief in tough times.

Is there nothing one can say about our own manager now without getting banned? This used to be a banning offense 10 years ago. Calling the manager a psychopath?

Yes more of a mild sociopath with a touch of depression and a mild narcissism disorder. I quite like him.

He is tactically brilliant, there's no doubt about that.

Ok, I'm done with the club right now.
I've gone from hating him to fearing him.
So just what the hell is going on? I'll tell you my thoughts.
full blooded psychopath
This has become a virus in the club
he's a freaking monster
it was always in the plan to overtake the power at the club.
At Madrid he went straight into the wall
This is because of some mental problem he's been getting of lately
Just listen to the way he talks, he just can't behave in the public room
I wanted to hang on to LVG
IN DEEP SHIT
WHAT THE feck WAS THAT CONTRIBUTE MORE BULLSHIT??
He knows he's lost right now
RIP MAN UNITED!!!!:(
This is a great script for a movie.

Who's behind this trojan scheme? Is it Putin? Was Abramovich the intermediary? It must be related to Brexit. Does Putin want UK to stay in EU? Does Teresa May hide her love for ManUtd? Where does Trump fit in there?!

Now more seriously, I understand where you're coming from but this thread is waaay OTT. Mourinho may or may not self-implode, guess we're going to have to wait and see.

While this thread is excessive to say the least, I'm somewhat surprised at the lack of acknowledgement as to where we are right now. From the outside, Mourinho looks like he is struggling, he doesn't look the same man he was two years ago at all. He's starting to show cracks and I don't like the way that we are heading right now.

It's probably a little simplistic to say that we wouldn't be in this position with LVG, and it's quite obvious that we wouldn't have been able to recruit as we did this summer without Mourinho at the helm, but I still don't think we'd be struggling this much with last season's squad under LVG. My main concern is Jose's unwillingness to throw the youngsters in, even in the Europa league. Rashford has taken a backward step, down in no small part to Mourinho's use of him, while others that should be making the transition are often overlooked or shipped out on loan.

Given the way Chelsea imploded last season, I'd have thought there would be a few more doubters than there are.

I'm no kneejerker, I was worried, yet excited to see what Mourinho would bring. We have to give him time though.
