Goal of the season so far...

Obviously we all know which offside travesty takes the number one spot now, but for the sake of argument, let's see your other contenders for the best goals in the Premier League season so far at this (symbolic if not mathematical) halfway point.

Top fives if you can be bothered.

EDIT: I find it embarrassing that I have to actually write this out, but obviously I am joking when I say 'offside travesty'. No-one gives a flying feck if he was a yard off or not.

Borini's goal was pretty good too

Still, i think you can take the "so far" out of the title

Xhaka vs Hull

All three were cracking long range goals.

I think Fuchs scored a good one for Leicester earlier in the season as well.

Mkhitaryan's goal will probably be a bit tainted in the eyes of every non-United supporter because it was offside, so I doubt it'll win any significant awards. But it was a beauty indeed.

Mane's goal against Arsenal wasn't that bad.
Nothing beats Micky's though

Payet scored a great individual goal against someone this season. Any good team goals? We scored a nice one against Boro (Origi scored it).

A simple overhead kick from 5 yards beats Mikki's goal? Wow thats fecked up.
Wouldn't say goal of the season but that was a spectacular goal. Synchronized double overhead kick, amazing.

Best team goal I reckon was one of Liverpool against Arsenal.

Something like 321 one and two touches passes.

Mkhitaryan for me, it's not just wonderful technique but it's absolutely outrageous. That kind of goal is long overdue to bring a buzz back to Old Trafford.

You'll see many fantastic goals via screamers, volleys and curlers over the course of a season. But you rarely see goals like that. Mixture of genius, instinct and cheek. Beautiful goal! Will take something incredibly special to dethrone that for me!

Am i the only one who wasn't that impressed by the goal? No idea why. Think i need a slap. Don't get what all the fuss is about.

In fairness i have watched that paul scholes volley against villa and the cantona chip about 100 times in the past week, and they were both better goals, so maybe i'm judging it harshly.

I think it's clear to see that the finish was so absurd that it trumps any claims of offside. The lino knew it and so did the Sunderland defenders which is why they didn't appeal.

Overhead kicks are done every season. Perfectly placed crackers are done every season.

How often is the Mhiky goal done, when did you last see one of those?

But I guess some other goal will win since he was offside. Can't see a goal which came from a referee error winning this one :(

Henderson.

Mhki's was special, I don't think people will care about a marginal offside. A goal is a goal after all.

Mkhitaryan's goal sort of reminds me of Lauren Robert's about 10 years ago:

Mkhitaryan -- was an offside goal

Pedro deserves a mention scored some brilliant goals this season. Hazard's dribble against Everton also somewhere in there. Mane earlier in the season against Arsenal, Chadli, I think the left back from Bournemouth also hit a nice goal.

Mkhitaryan easy. Should have been called offside, sure, but that doesn't change how good of a goal it was at all.

Who cares if it was offside. The assistant referee didn't spot it so the goal stands. A wrong decision by the referee doesn't alter the fact that it was a wonder goal.

Are you seriously claiming that the defenders and lino knew it was offside but let it go because it was a beautiful goal?

If someone scored a great goal that was wrongfully flagged for offside, would it count in the end of season competition?

No because the goal wouldn't have counted. It would probably appear on one of those YouTube videos called "the best goals that never were".

Oh yeah, Payet had amazing goal against Middlesbrough. The defending there though, especially #17
