What happened to Suarez? He has been incredibly underwhelming lately.

He has been poor since the past season. Hope is not the Wayne Rooney phenomenon that has caught u0 with him, else barca are in trouble.

If Neymar stayed, their best bet would have been cashing in on Suarez.

He looks to be declining physically.

Disappointed not to see him completely meltdown out there tonight - he and Ramos are long overdue a massive cnut-off

He still scored 37 goals last season, but he was diabolical tonight

If I was Liverpool, I would demand Suarez in return for Coutinho.

He has been terrible for the NT this year. Both him and Godín are going to shit just before the World Cup. So much so we may not even make it :(

He had been in fantastic form since 2012. He is not Messi or Ronaldo so a little drop in performance should be expected. Too early in the season to judge him though. Maybe it's just that he is still adjusting to playing with Deulofeu instead of Neymar.

I think he would still do good for Uruguay but at the moment it's going to be rough for him without Neymar taking rivals and making space upfront for him but he should still do well once Barcelona stabilizes as they're currently a mess all over the pitch.

Hasn't replenished his energy with the taste of human blood -- a few nibbles (and a suspension) and he'll be good as new!

In all seriousness, he does seem to have hit a lengthy rough patch. Spends most of his time ambling around the back line or writhing on the pitch.

His style of play takes its toll. Surprised he stayed at this high a level for as long as he has tbh. Not writing him off just yet, mind.

He gets his powers from the blood of others. Another feast and he'll be back to his best.

He's looked a bit off for a while but I wouldn't say he's become bad all of a sudden. He does too much running, his diet is awful and he is constantly having to get back in shape and that affects you at the tail end of your career. He has lost a step or 2 for sure.

Well he should stop eating people and get on the salads for a while.

Suárez is finished.

The guy has been absolutely atrocious throughout this campaign.

It was the same case in last season as well, although Suárez's goals masked it.

The goals masked it earlier but his game has become even worse now. Can't run, can't make a 2 yard pass, can't finish, can't stay onside and looks at the same level as Denis Suarez and Delofleu. It's exasperating to watch him play nowadays. Would he get into any Top 6-8 PL sides? I doubt it.

A bit Rooney-esque in how he is absolutely awful when he is having an off day, the difference between his best and worst is massive

Their attack is all Messi, he'd have less of a burden carrying Arsenals front line.

Similar players really. Both capable of the sublime, both street footballers who would put themselves about and generally make themselves complete nightmares for the defenders. There’s not always a lot left when the legs go and the fire declines.
