Lingard has gotten a lot of shit on this forum over the past 2-3 seasons but we need more players like him instead of playing a crocked 36-year-old and the Belgian version of Andy Carroll. Although I think Carroll has better touch than this hippopotamus.

Rashford has been poor, I agree, but I seem to remember him being a talented prospect at striker. He's been playing out of position for the past year and a half. It's about time the club uses its money properly and gets some real wingers and FBs.

Starting Zlatan was such a disaster. Many wouldn’t like to admit it though.

He should only come on as sub or start in completely meaningless games.
Did he really do worse in the 1st half than Lukaku, Rashford or Mata? More like not starting Lingard was a mistake.

Almost as if Jesse's too good for this team...big mistake not starting him. Didn't respect Burnley enough and almost paid for it dearly if Jesse didn't save us the worst of it.

this was better to be fair- Burnley are all of a bunch of cowards who try yo park the train. Of course I don't blame them for their approach based on their size as a club but they just frustrate the bigger boys by this crap hoofball type of theirs

We created very little from minute 70 to stoppage time, that was truly pathetic, despite the constant pressure we did very little with the ball. The players don't know how to play with each other in attack, Rashford just runs holds up, crosses it, perhaps tries a shot but interacts with his colleagues very little. It's all ridiculously disjointed.

Fair play to Jesse. But it’s a sad state of affairs when you’re relying on him to get the points.

Shocking stuff. It’s all fallen apart for Mourinho since the City game but the warning signs were there long before. It’s been an appalling run of games and he has to take responsibility.

The squad has been far too lacking at the attacking end for so long. Too reliant on injury prone and inconsistent defenders.

Changes will have to be made. Finding it hard to care about football right now as it just seems more of the same. Not even sure where we go from here but this team is a long way from where it needs to be.

This shows me why Mourinho isn’t the man. I don’t care about trophies won in the past. We need a younger more hungry coach.
There isn't any who can do a better job for now. Dream on. All of them are stucked with their teams for now.
It is the players that make or break the team. If you have Lukaku defending and afraid of getting struck-in, what do you expect. He has caused United 3 goals already. When Van Persie or Ibhramovic was defending, they are more effective.

    Who signed Lukaku?

I love Mourinho and I agree the players aren’t good enough but he’s had 3 transfer windows and incredible financial backing in which to fix that.

It’s not good enough and given the negativity surrounding the club he’ll do well to turn it around anytime soon. It’s feeling similar to Van Gaal’s second season - Nowhere near as bad in terms of quality or results but that same cloud of negativity that just hangs over the club.

Better second half at least. Still overall we don't look to be in a good spell. We need to keep on going though. Champions league is coming so hopefully if we have a bad spell now we can find form later in the season or so I hope.

Didn't have a good feeling when I saw Zlatan's name on the team sheet. People buy too much into his bluster about being a lion or whatever. A serious injury at that age is not easily healed. His overall player was atrocious even last season, no reason to believe that it would improve after a comeback from an ACL injury.

Very disappointed. Was still hopeful that we'll be up for a title challenge. Not after tonight. The Manager and the team seems to have given up. Two 2-2 draws either side of Christmas. Bah Humbug!

LvG won a lot as well - did you want him as a manager after 2 years ? And can you honestly see United even challenging for the title in the next couple of seasons ? Rashford has been every bit as useless as a winger as he always is. Rashford should be used as a striker
The fact you're comparing the two situations says it all really. If you can't see the blindingly obvious progression since his arrival then I suggest you give up with football all together.

Yes I can. Is it going to be difficult? Yes, but then when your nearest rivals spend half a billion on a squad that was already clearly better than our own, it's never going to be easy. What magician are you suggesting we bring in to compete with an inferior squad with less money to improve exactly? Bare in mind they will need to win the league after a season.

good points- he also is not helping himself by sulking so much. What has happened to that bubbly, sarcastic, funny, happy fella? No more cheering the team on, just sitting on the bench and not even cheering his team for scoring a goal? I know that has nothing to do with what is happening on the pitch but my word, that is poor PR, poor body language
