Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on a deal to sign Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo for £25 million

I like Rojo he always gives 100% and gives another option at left back but 25m? Yeah, hard to say no to that kind of money

We have a stockpile of defenders who severely lack of United quality - I'm glad we're finally shipping some out in Darmian, Rojo and Blind (although I liked the latter).

Can’t refuse £25m, though he’d not be my immediate choice of CB to leave. I’m looking at you, Smalling and Jones.

Smalling is a very good defender, he just can’t pass the ball.

Is anyone really mad enough to pay 25 big ones for Rojo?

I like Rojo, but he's a limbo player. Not good enough to be starting every week and not shit enough to be sitting on the bench waiting for his chance. Like Blind, the guy needs to be playing every week. So good luck to him.

£25m would be a good deal for us and Wolves. Then we can go and splurge on Maguire.

Mendes is doing us a huge favor if the reported fee is correct.

Good luck to him. He'll be very good for them if he can stay fit. Playing every week might calm him down too.

Best for everyone. Sell him and bring Magiure.

Apart from a purple patch in Mourinho's first season, he has been crap either a CB or a LB. Simply not good enough. Just being tough is not enough.

To be fair 45m for Blind and Rojo is pretty decent.

Jones and Darmian next please.

£160k per week ffs. Is it any wonder we have trouble selling players when we hand out massive contracts as if they are Tesco vouchers. Why we do never learn from our mistakes?

Agreed with this.

£25m is potentially a bargain for Wolves, but also a fair return for us.

Rojo is a solid hard working professional defender with seriously good experience. He might not be world class, but he is the best Wolves can ever hope for.

This is another example where over paying on salary has hurt us.

Surely we need to change, and do more bonuses.
.
160k a week for Rojo.

Don't rate Rojo due to his rash tackling but still wish it was Jones going instead (if it's not both).

Jose’s quietly getting rid of all the shite LVG brought in, After all the money spent, who’d have thought his best signing ended up being free.

Not so black and white. We just renewed his contract not long ago. If we're desperate to rid him then make no sense to renew when keeping his high wage/ give him a raise. Either 160k per week is wrong, or it's some ploy to pay his agent to help us to move him on and get decent fee.

Looks like we paid Mendes via contract renewal.

Anyone can confirm Mendes is Rojo agent?
He's had links to him in the past. Not sure about present.

Mendes definitely has links to Wolves.
