Pretty sure we’ll be a better defensive side without him in it. I guess we’ll find out soon.
I still don't see any attributes which suggest this might happen.Honestly think he can become a top CB if he keeps at it.
Ah yeah true. He's probably got most of them.Minor DDG I agree.
I know you've been on here for a long time but aren't you throwing bricks in glass houses right now since all you tend to do these days is slag off Lindelöf. Bit embarrassing really. He's won player of the month, nominated last month and won player of the year in Sweden during one of the best years for Swedish football since 1994 so clearly someone else must be feeling that he's not as utter dogshit as you persist to make him out to be.Coming from the most bias person in the thread
Arent all 31 of your posts about Lindelof?

Bailly is better by far. We just a stubborn and petty managerBailly is a better CB but Mourinho doesn't think so.
When was the last time Bailly had a really good performance? Honestly can't remember!Bailly is better by far. We just a stubborn and petty manager
Why isn't he allowed to play himself back into form when he's clearly better than others in his position? Matic is afforded that and I can't remember the last time he had a good game. When was the last time Bailly had a really good performance? Honestly can't remember!
Bailly has had more bad games then he has good for us. Not to mention his awful injury record. Why should he be allowed to play himself back into form when he's never shown he can sustain that form for a long period? Not sure what you're seeing to believe Bailly is 'clearly better'. In his time here he's probably tied with Phil Jones for most mistakes/bad games. Why isn't he allowed to play himself back into form when he's clearly better than others in his position? Well his performance today against Arsenal was more impressive than anything the average Lindelof has managed this seasonWhen was the last time Bailly had a really good performance? Honestly can't remember!
It was nice to see him back on the pitch in good shape again, had a good game!Well his performance today against Arsenal was more impressive than anything the average Lindelof has managed this season
Its actually what hes best at. Was the same at the world cup. Back off until the last pass comes in and having to get there to stop a chance or shotHe doesn't suit the last ditch defending that Jose set us up for today.
Then again, nobody does.
It wasn't the same at the World Cup at all... Sweden are organised and have a game plan - which includes midfielders and wingers being rigid and offering protection. Our defense just drops deep, our midfield is all over the place and thus it becomes last-ditch, with people sliding all over the place to block shots etc.Its actually what hes best at. He defended the box with last ditch contributions. And played some long balls from set pieces. Thats all he did at the world cupIt wasn't the same at the World Cup at all... No it's not. Hes a defender who prefers to play higher up the pitch. Smalling is the only one in our back line who likes to sit deep. Its actually what hes best at. Was the same at the world cup. Back off until the last pass comes in and having to get there to stop a chance or shot
Lindelof sits deeper than Smalling via average position, so thats completely falseNo it's not. Hes a defender who prefers to play higher up the pitch. Smalling is the only one in our back line who likes to sit deep.
Watch how they play. Lindelof's style suits having more room behind him to maneuver into. Smalling likes to face up the pitch and make clearances and interceptions. Then again you think Smalling is one of the best defenders in the league so....Lindelof sits deeper than Smalling via average position, so thats completely false
Complete assumption. Look at the facts, Lindelof's average position is deeper. Smalling is faster and reads the game better, so both in practice and in theory Smalling is better defending from higher up than Lindelof.Watch how they play. In some ways Bailly had a better game, but he also made more mistakes/poor decions. Anyway, think both were decent today. If you look at the whole season Lindelof has been superior so not so strange Mourinho wanted him back as soon as possible.Weak ass defender. Didnt deserve to start ahead of Bailly who had a better game.
Other than the lunging challenge that deflected the ball past his own keeper which was a mistake, which other mistakes did Bailly make? Lindelof had the one where he lost the ball right in front of defense too. So I can only remember 1 from each specificallyIn some ways Bailly had a better game, but he also made more mistakes/poor decions. Anyway, think both were decent today. Mistake was the wrong word, because he didn’t really make many mistakes. Think he was very good in that sense. But I think he made some poor decisions where he took some adventurous trips and left a big hole for Lindelof to cover. It worked much better in second half between them. As a whole, however, I think Bailly was the best United player together with DDG.Other than the lunging challenge that deflected the ball past his own keeper which was a mistake, which other mistakes did Bailly make?
