Are you more likely to post on the Caf when you're unhappy with the club?

I feel like since Mourinho's signing I've spent significantly less time on the Caf. I guess when I'm happy/content with the club, I'm too busy just enjoying us play football and life in general. Plus for me, there's less to talk about when the club is doing fine.

How do you guys feel?

I think typically when you're frustrated/angry, you tend to voice it out more compared to being happy/satisfied.

So I probably post more on redcafe after disappointing results compared to good results.

I come on here more when things are going well. I can't stand the nonsense you have to read when results aren't going out way.

The knee jerks are embarrassing.

This. I usually avoid posting or sometimes even reading stuff in here when we lose or have a bad performance. It's truly depressing.

There isn't anything to fix anymore, it is just sit back and watch Ole go to work. Personally I think it is how supporting a club should be.

Opposite for me. Moyes to Mourinho days reading caf just made me more miserable. Especially seeing the mindless defenders of crap managers and the toxicity caused by it.

I've been on the CAF since ole has been appointed pretty much every day. I read literally every post for 6-8 hours after the psg game.

Try to avoid reading the match day thread and it helps it doesn’t show up on the football forum anymore.
I’d post and read when I’ve time to do so, I don’t think any result would change that, win lose or draw

The same in both. I did see a funny side coming here during the dark days of Mourinho. It got so bad that the Caf became a source of comedy.

I find I barely post on here anymore as it becomes more and more of a whiny, entitled cesspit, some of the stuff written is just embarrassing to read

No I visit the site more often in the good times as there are too many pessimistic drama queens making the place unbearable when things aren't going perfectly.

Don't think anyone reads the match day thread. We all post in it, but nobody can really be arsed to read the spam and shit in that (including stuff produced by myself).

I think the reactions to the bad stuff (results, transfers, DOF, Glazers) are more likely to prompt a response from me as its where the biggest variation in opinions exist. If things are going well then chances are my opinion about how well Pogba has played in a match has probably been stated many times and more eloquently by others.

I think both really. Sometimes it is good to avoid even thinking about football when things are going bad and so I would avoid reading here. Although it is also interesting to discuss problems and the need for improvement.

When we lose, I don't post in the football forum until about two days after the game. I spend more time in the CE forum.

I would say I'm the opposite. I avoid the caf when things are really bad because it's so negative and everyone places people in "camps". I like to post when I and others on the forum are more clear-headed.

If we had not appointed Ole, I would have never signed up for the forums. The good climate of the team and the dressing rooms gave us wins and also gave this forum a new perspective.

Correct me if I am wrong but most of the times you would read about Pogba or Jose being incapable of this or that. Suddenly, we can see people re-evaluating Rashford, Martial, Shaw etc. with their opinions being more positive and more close to the actual truth.

So, I am a member of this forum exactly because I can interact in a positive way.

Same here  I’d much rather read and write about games I enjoyed. When we’re useless, I prefer not to speak, if I speak I’m in trouble.

It's the opposite. The caf is super toxic during dark days.
The caf is nothing. I was a member of the forum on the club website for years before it shut down. It was unmoderated and an absolute mess. After a bad result many posters would throw shocking personal insults toward each other instead of having constructive discussions like decent people on the caf do. I was also active on there during the whole Moyes escapade and it was so toxic to the point where I became inactive. The caf even when it's "toxic" is nothing compared to some other places.

When is the Caf positive? It's generally a place where a lot people go to carry on toxic agenda's or indeed just to WUM.

I disagree, still think there's plenty left to fix. Solskjaer's appointment has given us a lot of optimism for the future though, which is all that matters.

I passed through a phase of discontent, during which i let my emotions on here. Since then, i both calmed down and lost interest in debating people.

The CL is a glorified FA Cup set to music

There were a lot of lurkers who infested the Caf with their bile during the nadir of Moyes' tenure, and subsequently went back into hiding after his sack and things got better.

That was a horrible time on here.

Definitely more when things aren’t going well. It’s just human nature. When I’m feeling good things and seeing good things on the pitch I’ll come on here and see things that are just ridiculous and wrong and it annoys me so I tend to stay away when we’re doing well.

I normally don't post that much but I read a lot here.

If we lose a game or have a poor perfomance, I don't visit this place or if I do, I just read the threads which were already existing before this bad game. If there was an option to ignore/don't show these 10 meltdown threads after a L, I would visit (and maybe post) more often

If I strongly agree or disagree with someone or something, or if there's a titbit in the paper what is controversial, or haven't seen before I will link, but I probably spend an hour hour and half a,day at different times just reading. 10 mins a time here and there

Don't really post, just kind of browse and I have generally avoided the place when the team loses, especially under Jose. I remember I used to come on here when times were better and look at the Match Day threads, win or lose, just to see the meltdowns and how bipolar this place is and some of the posters are. But that kind of stuff hasn't been as funny in the past little while as things are not going well. I think I know they are good times when I can come on here and can kind of get a chuckle about people over-reacting to loses and draws.

I also used to visit here for highlights and opinions. So even when the team lost I still visited to find links to the highlights or goals scored. But now I go to r/soccer for highlights, but I stay away from the place for opinions, because its useless. Lately, win or lose, I have been browsing since Ole took over and seeing how people are reacting and whether the opinion of Ole is changing. Also, I generally get the breaking news from reddit, but come here to see peoples reactions. I heard about the permanent appointment on reddit, but came here immediately to see the reaction.

I spent years just reading the forums to learn from others (or laugh at the clowns etc.) without ever wanting to get into the discussions. I only actually joined the caf quite recently and I do it because I was so pissed off with the way the club was going that I felt I had to voice my opinion somewhere.
If I'm happy with things I keep my trap shut mostly and even if things are dire I still rarely post anything.
I've posted a few comments recently because we didn't get the promised DoF and then we gave the job to a nice bloke we all love but who's a complete novice at this level. I wouldn't have posted if that hadn't happened.
One of my problems is that I'm prone to being disarmingly honest in my opinions and I've already had warning about being straight with an idiot so I'll be keeping a low profile again.
