only thing i remotely remember positive in that 2nd half was the corner kick that pedro cleared off line. Literally a pathetic 2nd half considering was must win game.

Did the players even realise how important that was? We didn’t even test them in the 2nd half that’s so bloody frustrating

Shite result. Top four gone again. We don’t deserve it anyway.

So angry after that result, we were well on top until we gifted them their goal.

Good graft but lack of skill in creating in midfield.

We do look short up front in terms of mobility

Poor result and ends our chance at top 4. Really disappointing after such a bright start to the game. But gifted them a goal, and then we were poor the whole second half. In the end 6th is likely all we have deserved this season. Time for the board to pull their fingers out and start sorting things out for next year.

We just cant pass and when a team cannot string 3/4 passes together it can never be a creative side. Passing gets taught at around the age of 11, I'm guessing most of our squad missed out on that education.

They were chanting DDG's name at half time. If you want to hear knee-jerk moaners moaning, just stay right here pal.
You cant hear the boos then?

At least speak the truth if you are going to insult people.

So the match day thread is full of idiots again I see.

United deserved to win that and if DDG doesn't make the mistake they do pretty comfortably I think.

Much better energy and crisper forward play.

Strange how we drop off so badly. We’ve started really brightly in several of our games lately and then totally fallen away. Is it a fitness issue? Confidence ruined by conceding the goal? Who knows?

Yep, all of this. Just a shame in the second half the team was neutralised and gassed. As others have said, the damage was done months ago.

    Name the 9 points.
    1) wolves (turning his back, piss off if you think allison, ederson or guess what...Romero would do that.)

    2)
    Not. Ole's. Fault.
of course it is. He’s totally out of his depth. And for those saying it’s not De Gea’s fault because he’s saved us many times in the past, you seem to forget he wasn’t doing it for free. So he can piss off to PSG or Juventus, etc. And take the other passionless mercenaries Pogba and Lukaku with him.

Common, this is no Ole's fault. MCT did well and I don't even think Martial would have cared enough like MCT did. De gea is to be blamed. Ole shouldn't be blamed for the players lack of fitness.

True. Lukaku looked knackered after one run in the first half !

Pathetic performance against a very poor Chelsea side at home. This season is turning out to be a 3/10 and can be said to be awful in all aspects. We play like a relegation candidate with zero quality and the results are horrible. This club needs a major overhaul.

Did you not say this as a defence to your claim that Smalling is the least intelligent defender in the top 6?

Probably the least intelligent defender in a top 6 team.

They don't come close to Smalling

No idea why he's so highly rated by some

    Your words
"don't come close" isn't the same as "way more"

Rojo and Bailly's issues, apart from not being very good overall, is their habit of over committing, same with Jones. Doesn't mean that they overall aren't more intelligent players.

Oh really? We were easily the better team out there. Defended better and played some good football in possession.

De gea cost us the game. We played well in the first half. Attack not good enough in the second half.

Just to say McTominay was put on and promptly delivered the pass to Lukaku that may well have given United the win. Not his fault Lukaku didn't hold his run.

Matic hasn't played well and is pretty slow at times. Mata has played better.
Matic had a good first half but looked spent at that point. Think the idea was to bank on Pogba having a moment of brilliance. It all got very scrappy though.

Alexis is absolutely pointless, would have removed him myself, fresh legs and all.
