HELLO
The instagram 5th of August thing makes me think there still might be some truth to it. It was oddly specific

I wouldn't write Matic off though. I think that whilst he had a poor season last time, he can raise his game next season. He is quality. Unless of course, he is finished and I think it is too early to make that judgement.
Have you seen any Utd games over the last 12 months. He’s been woeful. He somehow only managed to get worse during preseason. The last game he was giving the ball away and getting intercepted in dangerous positions. Against prem opposition he will cost us points

I don't understand why would want to wait after this game though as that could cause an injury to a player that they desperately trying to sell

They care about winning the game against one of their biggest rivals and Bruno is comfortably their best player. All things considered, injury probability is quite small.

I refuse to believe we've agreed to let him play Sunday if were signing him.

Him and Dybala together in midfield wont work. Pushing Dybala to RW is not a good idea imo. Dont think we are signing Bruno.

Dybala won't be playing in the MF though. He's a forward that can play just about anywhere in attack including at the #10

If this happens then Di Marzio is 'the Don' of sports journos. Di Marzio was correct on the Maguire deal being close to completion afew days ago too..

Even if Dybala comes, we still need another Midfielder.
Do you think we have unlimited amounts of cash? I think expecting Maguire, Dybala plus another midfielder is extremely optimistic. Assuming Lukaku leaves and and we spend about 60m on the CM that equates to roughly £200m NET being spent by us. I can't see it personally.

It works two ways...
A warm up in a semi conpetitive fixture is a good warm up. To some extent better than missing a game this weekend entirely, if too soon to slot into Milan game

We've lost Herrera and Fellaini. Matic is a year more static. So if we don't buy we are heavily reliant on Periera, McTom and Fred to step up and reach potential and maybe even give Garner games.

Yes there is the point now if they are going to be here they need to start cutting it, but thats a lot of players not looking peak yet.

We haven't got as much cash as people think. No way are we buying Dybala and Fernandes after Maguire. It will be one at the most.

Yeah but we would be buying Bruno. Dybala would be a swap for Lukaku. It's essentially zero money spent!

In what world? He’s a 10 that can drop deep at times but to play him in a midfield 2 with Pogba and Dybala as a 10 would not work. Dybala would have to play as a right sided attacker and Bruno as a 10.
Dybala can play as a 9 so we could line up in Ole's 4-2-3-1 formation with Dybala furthest forward and then Bruno int he middle of the three flanked by Rashford and Martial. To be honest I think Ole wants talented, fast, fluid attackers and getting Dybala and Bruno into the team together is possible if we are flexible and on't hold rigid positions on the pitch. We also have to accept that we are likely going to play in excess of 60 games and injuries will happen so we do need depth. Doubt the club will spend on both but I won't see it as a mistake if they do.

Hes not a no10. He can play there very well but he actually played 8 most of last season

Bruno is an 8 primarily.
No he is not. Literally not at all.

If you saw him play at all in both seasons at Sporting then you would know that.

So in 17/18 he played in a #10 role with William being the loan DM behind him. In 18/19 he was the point of a 3 man midfield with Wendel and Guedlj playing either side of him. Wendel was primarily in that #8 role playing box to box where as Gudelj was more so the DM of the team.

Bruno plays best and is at his best when he is behind the striker in the 10 role. Which allows him to get into the box and pick up loose balls outside the 18 yard box. His defensive tenacity and willingness to track back to help the defensive press and recover the ball could maybe fool you to assume he is an 8 but I can 100% assure you that is false.

Jesus imagine a box to box midfielder scoring 34 goals

But anyways ya just to clear it up Bruno is a #10 and that is where he is most effective.

Wendel was and is the #8 at Sporting.
