The only reason there's a shred of possibility is because Levy would prefer 50-70m over nothing next summer.

I expect him sold just not to us.
He may have to sell to us if he wants to buy Bruno Fernandes as a replacement!

Eriksen is better option than Dybala as he will fit straight in the #10 spot. Dare to say when on song he would be the better player for us, considering how we would play. Not happening though, can see Levy selling abroad first.

Another rumour to get excited by only to end up frustrated and perhaps name-calling Eriksen/Levy. Everything we need is for Di Marzio to come up and claim the deal is close or other bollocks like that.

Please don't draw me in.
Get in! Spurs want to change things up and reach a new level, Lo Celso is their ideal target which means that we have a chance to get Eriksen.

I just want people to meltdown when it doesn't happen.

Eriksen has 1 year left, Spurs have been seeking a replacement (Lo Celso, Fernandes) so it seems likely.
Hmmm we'll see so. Definitely not investing in this, as I did with Dybala. Whatever ahppens now happens, will be glad when this window closes now.

Solskjaer is apparently close with the Denmark manager so this would be consistent with the stories of the club profiling all potential signings extensively. Still don't see Tottenham selling us a thing.
Understatement. He was the guy who brought OGS to Molde and gave him his breakthrough in the Norwegian League. Also played under him for Norway.

Times are reporting Europe is his best option with United unlikely to make anymore signings.

Hearing anything on the spurs side on this story? Usually I’d say this is a no go based on Levy but his contractual situation seems to give this a chance. Sure I’ve read as well Woodward and Levy get on quite well so can’t see us making an enquiry without those two having discussed it.
Obviously Levy would prefer Madrid or any other European club, it really all depends on what Eriksen is thinking and I am sure both Levy and Poch knows that. Madrid hold the cards and of course they will wait until our windows closes before making a concrete bid, if they are indeed interested. Basically I dont have a baldy clue, but if I was guessing there is probably a good chance Eriksen will let his contract run down and go on a free, if he wants out and Madrid don't come.

I don't think there is time for this to get done between United and Spurs.

It honestly depends on what happens at Madrid doesn't it. If Zidane doesn't make it the season and is replaced by Mourinho you really think Pogba will want to go to Madrid then? Other potential replacements for Zidane would be Poch you would think and I'm not sure he'd go all out for Pogba either

From what we've read the Madrid board really aren't sure on Pogba and it's Zidane that's the one that's pushing the whole thing
I think other clubs like PSG, Juve and Barcelona will be interested in him next summer and he’ll probably want to leave.

Do you guys ever learn? This is more obscene than that Dybala thing. I bet Ed isn't even paying it an attention because he knows he has a better chance of getting Aguero from city. I hear you all saying levy like money but make no mistake he will sell for less elsewhere. He did same to us with Modric. We offered more and he took less from Madrid. Absolute no chance of this happening. He will go to Spain or Italy after our windor closes

According to danish newspapers (who refers to their sources in England) this might just be a strategy by Eriksens agent Martin Schoots to gain attention from european clubs.

Makes sense I guess. We can probably use any money we get for Lukaku to finance this. That is probably a fairly high sum for someone on an expiring contract. Spurs are being linked with a replacement etc.

Still think Spurs (and Eriksen too) would prefer to wait for Real or Barca to come to the table. So don't think it will happen. Would be chuffed if it did though. Can't think of a lot of players that I would rather sign at the moment.

Just heard on a Spurs forum that Danish media are suggesting United aren't interested in Eriksen at all and the stories are to try and stir up more immediate bids from Europe, Ekstra Bladet's 'sources' whoever they are.

Do you really think Levy will ignore £80 million (or thereabouts) because he refuses to sell to another PL club? That would be madness from a business point of view. How will the clubs shareholders feel about that, or the fans if they don't get Bruno or Le Celso due to lack of funds?

Not to mention there is no guarantee Eriksen won't sign for United if given the option in the winter anyway. With no £80 million transfer fee standing in the way, United will be able to dwarf any offer from Madrid or the like, as we did with Sanchez.

I actually said a few pages ago Levy would most likely accept around £80M, I also said the choose would then be Eriksen if he wanted to join United. I still think Eriksen wants Madrid more than anyone so would probably just let his contract run down here and sign on a free, or resign with a clause for the likes of Madrid (doubtful mind).

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Although I do wish United start making announcements to quash shite like this in the future because it happens all to often.

we've got lots of those so he'd fit right in - in fact, we've had a monopoly on them since the day beckham left
I reckon every club bar one or two (like maybe Southampton thanks to JWP) thinks that they have their corners are the worst in the league and they always hit the first man... It's one of those common things that all football fans get pissed off by.

I think Levy is using us to force the foreign clubs to come to the negotiation table before the English window closes. The only way United will win this race is if we are willing to grossly overpay.

This essentially gets him Bruno for free plus some spare change for another target.

"According to one of Ekstra Bladet's English press sources, however, it cannot be excluded that the great United rumor about Eriksen has been initiated by the Danish agent Martin Schoots, who is interested in getting the foreign clubs out of the bush to buy Eriksen free .

From the same source, it seems that Giovani Lo Celso will probably come to Tottenham as a replacement for Eriksen, while probably keeping Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld in the club."

It seems their source is an English paper source, so they're just rerouting info. Nothing extra to add.

Would Eriksen really do that to the club that made him what he is today? That's cold if so.
