A slow defensive looking like with starting Mata and Matic. I presume Greenwood has a knock to miss out? subs likely brought Fred,Lingard and Chong i would reckon.

I'll be very surprised if Man United win this afternoon.
Chong is so lucky to even make the bench after thursday, shouldn't see a minute of action today.

I thought Fred was great against Astana, but he lacks a lot of match training. Not likely that he is quite fit yet to start consecutive matches, that is why Matic starts. McTominay was the best Manchester United player on the pitch against Leicester, so he starts.

Expect to see Fred around the 1 hour mark. Had hoped to see Greenwood on the bench, but James is ahead of him. Fred and Chong locked away the game last time, we might see the same tactic being applied again.

For anyone whos upset about the squad: This is the team we won with last time. Fred is not two-game-per-week starter fit and is on the bench for that reason. The roster is paper thin, but we can't just play whoever because their names look great. They need match conditioning to be able to start back to back games, or else we will run out of steam after 70 minutes and West Ham will run over us. We lost 3-1 here last season with a far better team on the pitch.

Injuries on so many key players is just baffling bad luck. I hope we get something from this, but won't lose sleep if we don't.

Cant believe fred isn't starting tbh. Need Lingard in here too IMO.
After a 15 min cameo in the PL and a game against an opposition no one has heard of!

I thought Fred would start, but he’s hardly ripped up trees, so happy to trust OGS. He’s a player whose reputation has strangely increased by being out of the team.

Your not allowed to say Lingard should start on the Caf - he’s not even Championship standard according to the consensus... he’s probably not 100% fit.

Jesus... Sourness, Moaninho and Keane (The Bitter) as the Sky pundits. Imagine there will be sound bites aplenty if we don’t win and perform well.
Mourinho is great pundit. I have watched him in Sky.

Keane is savage with banter when he's a pundit love watching him as well.

Good to have two pundits to cover Sourness BS

Can't believe Fred doesn't get his first league start today. Matic over Fred is a bit of joke.

Going to be a very tough game. If i was putting a positive spin on it I'd say in James Rashford we have counter options and Mata Pereira can unlock deep defenses.

The team was pretty obvious. Frustrating to see Mata still starting games for us in 2019 but that's where were at with our injuries unfortunately. Not much difference in quality between ours and West Ham's line up.

Expect Haller to target Lindelof and there's only one winner there.

Horrendous XI. Lack of energy, hardly any pace and very technical limited players. This is on Solskjær if we end up losing.

I'm expecting a very dull game.
How is it on him? Our squad is not better than this.

Lot to be said in playing the same team against Leicester. Hopefully we keep improving. Can see Gomes getting minutes today.

How does Matic continue to get starts after being shite? It’s unbelievable.

So essentially what OGS says is “no matter how you perform, shite veterans will still start”
Utterly ridiculous comment considering neither Matic or Young started the first few games prior to injuries hitting the squad.

Mata has churned out good performances for two games in a row and yet you choose to name him ahead of anonymous performances like Matic and Pereira?

    Looking over my shoulder.
Get in behind WH may prove difficult. Frederick's may be one of few fullbacks with pace to keep up with James, and both Ogbonna and Diop have pace. Their right back could be a cone and still outpace Mata.

No Greenwood is weird, but good to see Gomes. He will change the game hopefully.

Awful line up,but cant do much else with the injuries we have.
1 out of form striker in the whole squad and he will be leading the line..hope Rashford can find some form.
Dont understand why Matic is starting over Fred, really frustrating.
Nothing on the bench to save the day.
    3-1 to West Ham

If Rashford is in his 'kick the ball to the goalkeeper' mode, We're fecked.

Playing both Matic and Mata when it’s known they’re both not suited to play at the same time and have under performed numerous times so yes it is OGS fault.

So Matic is capable of playing on a Thursday and Sunday but Fred isn't?

How do West Ham have better players than us? They have to be favourites - their starting lineup is better than ours.

Keane talking sense. Was hoping the host would prod Mourinho more about the comments from Keane regarding players coming out last year saying "mentality wasn't right"

Least he changed his free kick technique. Actually better now, trying to bend it rather then Ronaldo the damn thing. Hopefully this match he knows not to shoot down the middle.
