We've not been great in the first half, and it's been a performance very similar to what we have been seeing against most opponents that sit back, but if we're going to have VAR, then they need to do their fecking jobs. De Gea should have done better, but it's a clear foul.

Second half we need to up our tempo. Use the widths and be less predictable. I'd match Everton and go with a 442. Bring on Greenwood for Lingard.

No Martial is technical and can hold the ball, he needs to stay. We need better from Lingard. It seems that we are trying to target the space behind full backs but for that, we need to get the ball.

What we need to do is to yell at the players to run their socks off in the box when we counter because that is important to pressure Everton's defensive shape. Otherwise, they only have to defend against one or two players, that's easy. But let them run altogether and they will have to follow everyone and it will disturb their line.

Looking at Everton's lineup before KO it was obvious they were going for a lineup that could work hard as a unit. All we had to do was match that effort and desire and the score would not be 0-1 at half time.

You could make the argument that it’s a foul, but if DDG was his keeper he’d be blaming him for not being stronger. They all pretty much agreed.

Because Everton are happy to sit deep and defend, which is our cryptonite. We can't create anything that's not on the counter for the life of us.

I know that. When teams sit back you have to move the ball quicker. We go wide, take an absolute age to release the ball and then go backwards. When you have pace like Rashford and James they should have the confidence to get past their man rather than the safe option of recycling the ball every time.
