Woodward is much the same as Ole really. Totally incompetent at his current job, but I do genuinely believe he wants the club to succeed.

He seemed all gunned up for marquee signings under Moyes, but they didn't want to play for Moyes. He brought in marquee players under LVG and Jose with presumably good intentions, fancying himself as a bit of a Florentino Perez no doubt.

Now he's made the most monumental feck up of a decision in appointing Ole, and at the same time the Glazers have pulled up the drawbridge on the finances. And now he's fecked, Ole is fecked and everything is fecked.

However, therein lies the problem. Perez is a fecking muppet as well and without Ronaldo, they'd have won feck all... again. In reality, he should take a step back, assess what his actual strengths are and employ somebody who's strengths are where his weakenesses are. After 7 year, if you haven't turned those weaknesses into strengths, you need to delegate.

He deserves pretty much all of the criticism that's come his way, but he doesn't deserve having his bloody house attacked with flares.

No wonder our club is in the state it is in.

Reading the comments in this topic shocks me more than anything. A few dozen people sing an offensive song outside the walls of your protected home and fire a flare over and you're all showing your sympathy for the enenmy. FFS!

They should have left a pig's head on his lawn.
The enemy:lol: Some of you lot devote far too much of your emotional well being into football.

Genuine question: Would people be this outraged if this happened outside Glazer's mansion?
Guess i am a bad person then cause i feel bad for Woodwards family this happened but would not have cared if this happened to the Glazers to be honest.

Ed only works for them, they are the ones bleeding the club dry.
I agree. I accept I'll be in the minority, but to be honest, the plight of a few harassed billionaires would be quite far down my list of things to bother about.

Appalling behaviour.

Protest inside or outside the ground. How have some fans gone from no action to attacking his home and chanting he's going to die at the games? What about Woodward out?

This is not making the job appealing to anyone else and is just helping drag the club into the gutter.

It's a perfectly valid post.

The post is simply giving another possibility, which considering the current climate and the hiring of Ashton, it isn't that far fetched. Even less when you consider it's regarding United.

Blaming Woodward for everything is like being angry with the manager of your local McDonalds because they took your favorite item off the menu.

Feck off and support Liverpool, stupid eejits.

And take the "gonna die" chant with you, it's a disgrace to this club and it's history.

That chant would even be a disgrace to Liverpool though, so maybe you should just feck off out of football entirely.

Unacceptable. There is a way of doing everything. Disgusting behavior and anyone encouraging such behavior are also mentally ill.

Why?

For me something just doesn’t quite add up, tensions rising ahead of Saturday’s game, this sort of news takes the focus off Ed Woodward

If it turns out my theory is incorrect I’ll gladly take back my previous comments.
Are you for real. You think this is some sort of false flag operation instigated by Woodward?

The thuggish behavior is unacceptable. Hope they are caught and face consequences for their actions.

Doesn't change the fact he's an incompetent prick. #Woodward Out

I think this is vile, the man regardless of job performance has two young children and a wife who have nothing to do with the state of our club. These people are scumbags and deserve to be locked up, absolute travesty to act like they “represent” our fan base.

If you’re seriously that invested and emotionally impacted by a game of football I’d suggest you should stop watching.

Alittle older than that.I am just beeing honest about my feelings. Sorry if that offends you.
If you aren’t kidding and think violence is justified because the team is performing poorly, get some help. Seriously. Talking to a professional can do wonders.

Not by Woodward

I just would not be surprised if he was advised to be out of the house with his family before all this went on.

The way the media work these days I just feel the need to question something like this. As I’ve said previously if all this is genuine then I’ll take back my previous comments

So i condone violence because i said i felt bad for the woodward family but not the Glazers if someone used flares and graffiti outside their mansion gates?

Oh lord take me now.

Pretty bad look for the club. Let’s say they succeeded in getting him to resign. We turn around and pitch the next CEO or DOF “hey, do well or you’ll get death threats and have people show up at your home in the middle of the night.”
Well done lads.

According to the Sun
Sun said:
The gang congregated outside and rang an intercom on large gates at the entrance to the sprawling property on Tuesday night.

Woodward, his wife and kids are not believed to have been home during the incident.

And when no-one answered, they sprayed red paint over it and launched a red smoke bomb into the grounds before aiming a firework at the house in disgusting scenes.

A source told The Sun: “Woodward has been a disaster as chief executive and needs to leave the club.

"Lots of people have said it but he doesn’t seem to listen - perhaps because he’s getting paid £4m-a-year.

“So we decided to pay him a visit to tell him to his face. We didn’t get to speak to him but hopefully he’ll get the message because we’re not going away and we won’t stand around doing nothing while our club is ruined.”

Ashton masterstroke. Kidding obviously don’t think he’d have the brains to come up with that. Hopefully his family aren’t too shaken up.

You'd rather we didn’t have the marketing deals that allowed the debt to become manageable and put United back in the top 2 earners in world football and would have preferred we went into administration? That’s strange. Or maybe you just have absolutely no idea how much debt the Glazers put on the club and how much it was costing to service the debt vs our revenue from 2005-2012
So Ed Woodward, the guy who engineered the leveraged buy out that got us into huge debt and bungled every football related decision since 2013 not only deserves credit for shaving some of that debt away, but has actually done more for the club than the man who won us the treble?

Absolute lunacy.
