I don't remember seeing a top flight side being this hilariously inept at doing even basic defensive stuff
Noooooo!!!! Don't say that!!!!!! Shit defending only happens in Bundesliga!!!!! Premier League is the best league in the world!!!!!

Spurs were 2 points behind us when Jose took over. They are now 5 points ahead. Although we have a game vs Chelsea in hand. Jose will have the last laugh.

Bastards.

Every fecking time. Jammy pricks.
This is the endless excuse as to why Spurs do well. Spurs only reached the CL final through "luck". Spurs only finish in the top 4 through "luck".

There comes a time when the whining about "luck" has to stop and some other explanation is sought - maybe that Spurs are better than you credit.

As I said earlier, Villa made the mistake of trying to go toe-to-tie against us. And the only reason Villa didn't lose by more was because their GK had a worldlie.

Rough on Villa, thought a draw was a fair result, Grealish and Reina both had great games. Aurier should of had a yellow first foul of the match.

He is doing well. So far so good, turning around our season without a doubt
Interesting. I have thought you were not playing well, and are playing more defensively and with long balls.

It might be I haven't seen many of your games.

Spurs season ticket holder in one of my groups said "we're awful and keep winning "

They've had quite a few wins under Jose where they have largely been poor but end up winning, not sure their good fortune will continue though.

I fancy Leipzig to knock them out in the CL and hopefully the wheels start falling off.

Funny, I thought Villa looked the better side throughout. Both teams squandered chances but I thought Villa looked in control overall.

We are playing better than we have for a while and most importantly we are getting results. It's far from the finished article and we will need a few more players but we are going in the right direction. Jose hasn't put a foot wrong so far.

Its ridiculous to think our inept board wont try and rescue our season by getting rid of Ole who has shown nothing as a manager to get us even back to playing champions league football let alone win league and cup titles but spurs took the risk of sacking a highly regarded manager in potchettino who had guided the club to a champions league final only the season before and it looking like a decision that will pay off for them.

There's a difference between "control" and being a goal-scoring threat.

When you look at the saves that Reina made - and had to make - compared to Llloris, it's pretty clear to me that Spurs were the more potent attacking force.

And one of the Villa goals was an own-goal from Spurs. Or to put it another way, Spurs scored 3 times as many goals than did Villa players (or 4 if you count Alderweireld's og ;)).

Villa could have perhaps gotten a draw if they'd played a more conservative, less open game. But playing an end-to-end, open game generally suits Spurs very well.

How many times has Son bailed them put this season? Feels like every week.
Really top player. He has taken on the goalscoring role while Kane is out.
Very rarely has a bad game and always works his socks off.

Fantastic attitude as well.

Yeah most of us have no problem admitting who the better manager is. Ole is that shitty spouse that allows your ex to win the break up..in the short term anyway

I notice the Emirates is half empty, maybe the fans are not really buying into this new era nonsens.

That is what Jose Mourinho knows how to do best. Win ugly. He is the most effective manager in world football at that. If Mourinho was in charge in last season champions league final, Spurs would have most likely won. Even though, he wouldn’t have reached the finals if he had control of that team.

I am sure that he would say that that was the nicest thing anyone has ever said about him.

Fantastic to hear Alan Green back on radio 5. Head and shoulders better than anyone else. Makes the game come alive.

No team had control of that game. I know it wasn't you saying it but I though I'd chip in. That was a wild west shootout and the right team won in the end.

Just have a look at the Xg and take in the stats tab too, 2.53 expected points for Spurs - https://understat.com/match/11894

Must be frustrating having that muppet in your team knowing he's a mandatory walking yellow card in every game. Should have been booked again for the sarcastic pat on the referees back.

You could make a Youtube highlights compilation of Maximan that would make him look Messi-esque.

Then you watch him for a full game and realise it's all sizzle, no steak.

You're not wrong, but then again if it were me and 10 mates against villa we'd also have been the more potent attacking force

Kinda hard not to be when villa went out of their way to set you up with huge chances again and again, and again. And again. And again...
