I'd say Greenwood's ankle isn't 100% I'm not slating him just he's looking hesitant and holding back a bit when moving usually he's bursting up the pitch
Could be mental also. Was a very nasty challenge on him. Also a lot of praise been lavished on him recently. Not surprising to see a dip.

Lucky to be up after that half. I think Fosu Mensah should be taken off for an option that wouldn't be a liability going forward. They haven't threatened us much on that side, so its something worth considering. I would consider taking off Mctominay as well later on in the half. Martial has shown some good play on the left wing, while Greenwood has struggled to make an impact from right wing. We either might want to change the front 3 formation or take one of them off for Ighalo.

They’ve allowed us no time on the ball which is probably a good thing because we’ve been shite when we’ve had it. Nice to see Southampton having a nice chilled night off vs a relegation threatened side too, cnuts.

We look absolutely all over the place at the back. Like a nervous wreck. We're gunna need a couple more here.

Palaca have done a lot of running in that half, hopefully the goal before half time has knocked the stuffing out of them and we can pick them off now.

Good to be ahead at half time after such a flat United display in the 1st half. Great goal by Rashford and perfect time to score. Palace the cnuts are organised and playing this game likes its a cup final.

Looked like two equally good teams played each other in the first half, with Cryatal Palace edging it.

    Concerning. Hope we hold on.

2nd goal needed ASAP. They’ve been good at pressing us and I’m sure that will die off. Just don’t let them score.

The last few games are going to be harder due to fatigue. These guys are leggy which means they become sloppy and the sharpness drops.

AWB is a complete garbage footballer. How on earth do so called professionals pay 50 million for someone who has zero technical quality on the ball. He has nothing to his foot work or skill. Plays like he has his ankles tied together.
:houllier: yeah, one of our best performers this season is garbage. Wonder how you feel about Lindgard et al

Absolutely nothing from fosu mensah, should be showing more ambition with his opurtunity we need at least something on our left side

kinda lucky for the goal in that we don't really deserve it as we havnt played great but we are growing into the game and had some chance with greenwood.

I worry were to top heavy and greenwood particular is not good tracking back, fernandes is barely getting the ball, might need to come deeper. Martial really is on top form looks excellent and his desire is evident.

    Improvement from de gea

Our big money right back signing is terrible with the ball at his feet.

We need to cut out losses & get some quality full backs as without attacking quality full backs it makes games so much harder to win

We need another goal at least its too tense I hope we don't try and sit on the lead like we did with Southampton

It’s concerning there’s CL on the line with 3 games to go and we look very sluggish and complacent. If that doesn’t motivate the players nothing will.
It’s not about motivation. Mental tiredness being totally knackered Leads to sluggish play from people of this Calibre

Greenwood should stay on I think. He showed some nice touches even if he fluffed the goal. His pace is an asset and is definitely a better option than James ATM.

Right now the problem is we have a gaping hole at left back in TFM who hasn't had a good game both defensively and offensively. Combine that with AWB on the right and our offensive outlets on the wings are very limited. It certainly shows in our play. I'd get Dalot on for TFM. Even Fred would do better there I'm sure.

Dalot's played LB before and is quite comfortable there - not sure he would be any worse than TFM who really looks lost out on that side.
I don’t particularly rate either player but Dalot is shocking defensively, I’d rather the better defender under the circumstances

Defo need to shake things up a bit.

Fred for Mason and move Pogba higher up?

    Ighalo for Mason?

    Fred for McT?

    Fred for Timbo?

Biggest standout for me that half was how Mctominay slows our build up play so much. We've missed Matic.
Tbf Maguire slowed it down even more. Six touches like every time. Somewhat devoid of options though. Probably wise for Rashford to come inside and offer that extra option.

Didn’t realise it was another Bruno assist. Ludicrously consistent even when a bit crap.

Dalot wouldn’t be much help in this game either. He’s an atrocious passer of the ball too

He did well in the end but why wait until you get into the box? Tackle him outside.

AWB needs to stay back more to help out lindelof as Zaha keeps pulling into his channel.
It is Zaha. Quick fecker. Lindelof always covers space first. Never dives in tackles. Yeah, it is risky stuff to let player in penalty box but if you dive too early in tackle and you miss..?
I really don't know. I prefer when plsyer has control of situation..Bailly would go in tackle at first sight

Lethargic is the word to describe our performance. However we're in front and need to hold that league, this is the sort of game that separates the table. Even when you're tired and underperforming you grind out a result.

Lads have had a tough schedule and played their hearts out so can't entirely fault them for tonight's energy levels.
