United just diverting and trying to look active.

‘oh well we tried’ when the window shuts next week. Terrible transfer window that will possibly see Ole lose his job.
Why did you assume the worst?

It's the same with Bruno. Sporting stubborn about the deal as they sat their price of €80m. They ended up getting it at the last day of the window.

we start briefing that we consider offering a deal to sign Sancho. As Ed will do like he did with Bruno that is to give in and pay what they were asking for in the final days of the window.

This what should be on your mind not that.

Not sure I can handle another 6 days, worst ‘saga’ ever.
I've seen this banded about before "worst saga ever" "most boring saga". Out of interest, what makes a saga exciting? Because there isn't much that can happen barring transfer requests.

Dortmund have been consistent with their price for months, they aren’t dropping it.

At this stage if we end up paying the full fee you’d have to ask why the hell we didn’t just pay it 6 weeks ago.

The end of the window is probably going to be Brooks/Sarr and Telles. Which is not good enough considering Liverpool have had a better window than that and a few others too.

this is the last week of the transfer market and we're pushing a bid at the 11th hour that is below Dortmund's valuation. That means we'll have no time to improve the bid, no time to come up with adequate replacements and no time for Sancho to do anything about it. What possibly could go wrong?
I said this yesterday and a few posters were saying still 6 days left you dont know whats going on.

We have heard that United are going to bid for a long time, we have heard he is top priority for a long time. We still havent approached BVB.

In my opinion, this has been the plan all along, drag the fans with the hope Sancho signs, drag it till the final few days, put in a offer everyone knows they wont accept, sign Sarr / Brooks and say we tried but BVB were not having it.

I get the feeling, Ed was never really interested in signing him this summer.

Feels abit like Pogba last summer, when Real were interested but never really put a worthy bid in.

The difference was that Bruno was actually for sale.

Here we go folks, finish line is in sight. Not long until he's ours now.
We’re in the Endgame now. Ed’s trying to channel his inner Tony Stark to get it over the line. Unfortunately he’s got a Thanos-sized Glazer to get past before he can seal the deal.

Clearly Sancho is available.

That’s not to say we will sign him, but he’s been available all summer and Dortmund just want a big fee for him.
In that case, every player is available. It is also known that no team is going to pay £108m upfront. In the same way Kane is available for £150m.

Remember the Thiago saga in 2013? The gifs, the "nos vemos en Manchester" on Thiago's match ball, Solius' insane rollerskating celebration vision, ciderman's confident trolling... oh those were the days.

No. It’s very clear that Dortmund are very open to selling him and are happy to do so. They are just posturing for the best price.

1st October is Sancho-Day.

Someone else on this board wrote a compelling argument that the timing of our bid revolves around our corporate financial calendar. 1st October is when I would expect a bid to be made. Of course, this is Ed Woodward and Matt Judge so no guarantee we will ACTUALLY sign anyone but I would expect public bids to be made on Thursday.

Watch this space....

Dortmund will be waiting for Munich to offer 10 mil for him. Which they'll gladly accept because they're Munich's bitch.
Failing that they'll sell to.klopp in January for 25.

And Sancho will just accept whatever Dortmund would do with him? Not that Dortmund would sell him to Bayern for lower price. Makes no sense.

There's nothing to indicate clubs will be in any better financial situations next summer, logically its more likely to be worse.
Correct. Clubs will get less stadium revenue this year than they did last, that's for sure. With economies retracting and corporate marketing dollars harder to come by, the football money-pot is likely to shrink. This pandemic will have a multi-year impact on football, and sport in general. I don't understand why many people think that next summer will be better for football clubs financially.
That really depends on whether the COVID situation drags on into the next few years

If it's resolved before the start of next season, then the impact will be significantly lessened and clubs will be close to back to normal wrt budgets

Someone needs to create a gif with a lone muppet facing an army of Dortmund fans with their execs and Zorc.

Then the portals start opening with more muppets appearing.

Muppets assemble as the crescendo text to blow away the black and yellow army.

We won't be denied.

This is happening. Always believed but the negative nancies have kept me out of this thread.
Well no more, it's time to rise up and confidently state Jadon will be our new number 7 by deadline day.

Zorc: I am...Inevitable!
Woodward: And I am...the things in transfer market other clubs can only dream of!

I can't see it happening and the fact Sancho has put zero pressure on leaving makes me wonder if he's really bothered about coming to Utd as well or just wants any top English team to sign him
