His shoulder problem was aggravated against Leicester. By all reports, he’ll be assessed but there’s a chance he’ll be rested
Let's hope so irrespective of the shoulder issue as we have more than enough options to rest him. A lot of games coming up and we need players not to be injured. Would also like Bruno rested at some point but can't see that happening so best option is to be ahead and take him off early.

I keep seeing articles about Nuno trying to make Wolves more expansive now but haven't really seen much evidence of it, they seem much worse defensively and now without Jimenez and losing Jota I feel like they might be a bit of an outside bet to be in the scrap at the bottom. They just don't really ever score goals, apart from the bottom four them and Arsenal are worst in the league.

I'm never that confident but I honestly think we'll smash them.

"We shouldn't be sitting here worried about Wolves" you write, as if in a normal world we wouldn't have to, and as if it was our divine right to take victory over smaller clubs for granted. I don't believe in that. That's not aspiration, that's entitlement.

They've taken 4 points off Chelsea and Tottenham the last three rounds. I'm pretty sure there's no team in the league who'd approach this matchup with easy confidence, and they've no reason to either.
    I watch Wolves every week.

    It’s not entitlement, it’s realism.

Their form is average, they have lost key players and are struggling to rotate much.

    United should be beating them.

I think if we can keep Podence out of the area we'll be alright. Pretty scary when he's in there though, our CBs and DMs will struggle not to foul him i fear.

United should definitely go front foot, Spurs showed that Wolves are more than happy to keep the ball

They aren't the same outfit without Jimenez leading the line, and Dendoncker is unlikely to recover in time for kick-off too. The only injuries we have right now are Rojo and obviously Philip Jonas. AWB is set to start according to reports.

I agree, we really should be winning this one. No excuses.

Where did the myth that Wolves play good football come from? They are actually very pragmatic & dull. Not too dissimilar from Jose.

I have watched few of their games this season. They are most effective in wide areas with the nimble Podence and Neto causing problems by coming inside.I hope AWB is fit for this game. Our Dms should prevent these two from driving inwards.

I wouldnotplay Pogba, +30 Moutinho would eat him for dinner just like Mark Noble last season.I would have love to rest VDB and rest Bruno. But VDB is still finding his feet in the club/league.

I hope play Rashford,Martial/Greenwood and Cavani.Though I have a strange feelingthat Ole may start Mata.

I do too, at least generally. And I agree we should beat them. But there's a fair bit of distance between that, and arguing that we ought to be in a position where we didn't even have to worry about that.

I hope Ole doesn’t feel compelled to start players that aren’t fit. The squad is deep enough to make this unnecessary.

We will definitly win. very optimistic for this one.

Hopefully a 3 or 4-0 win, it would help improve our GD.

With the game against City potentially postponed, i think Ole will go full strength on this one.

Expecting Rashford, Cavani and Marital (or Greenwood) in attack. No more James please.

I can see VDB playing as well alongside Fred and Bruno. I wonder if Pogba is gonna be on the bench again ? it looks like Ole took care of that one. He's basically a squad player now.

I don't think we should be marital in attack. Need to be much more aggressive than that. :D

Jon moss is ref, so expect the game to be stopped every 10 seconds so the fat bastard can catch up....
Oh no. We will press, they will dive and he will give away free kicks for nothing and it will bring the tempo down. We'll play a slow possession game while they sit back and they'll score from a counter attack where he doesn't give a similar free kick to us, VAR wont pick that up obviously and all the pundits ignore that to criticise the dispossessed player instead.

    We've seen this one before.

Play the best players, play many attacking players. Score goals and beat the opposition simply by virtue or having the superior players. This ain’t Pool or City where they are better than us, it’s Wolves. This management stuff is easy isn’t it? :D

Prediction: 0-0  Hopefully 2-0 to us.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
It's amazing how much our depth has improved since the end of last season when we had to run our starting 11 into the ground. Now we've got ten players who could easily be chosen for the front six positions without, in theory at least, losing too much quality. Bruno perhaps the exception since we struggle to replace him. Plus we have Telles available to give Shaw regular breaks as well.

This is perhaps the hardest match I can ever remember to predict what the manager will do. The combination of having those options plus how many games we're playing in a short period makes it almost impossible to predict how he'll line us up this time.

We should win this. Other than Neto & Podence, there aren’t many other players in that Wolves team that I’m fearful about who could really cause us serious problems.

Confident of a win, we could do with a good home win at this stage.

Don't think we have enough to challenge for the title but moving up to a comfortable 2nd or 3rd, a change of mentality and confidence would be welcome instead of scrapping with the middle pack.

A win tonight could show we have the mettle now

Pogba totally bossed the midfield at Molineux last season, for what it’s worth (which I know won’t be much on here).

Matic, Pogba ,VDB , Fred has to start, with Martial and Cavani.

You can't get a fresher squad than that.

The Vermin walloped this lot a couple of gameweeks ago. Need to reply in kind tonight. 3-0 United will be just the tonic and keep the pressure on those around and above us in the table.

Type of game in a packed schedule with lots of points being dropped where I would take literally any sort of win. Our games against wolves are horrible to watch and I expect tonight to be no different. Would take a 1-0 nil win with a 5th minute own goal.

since chelsea, villa and leicester dropped 2 points yesterday I expect us to drop all 3 points today, we never take advantage of teams around us in the table dropping points.

You just know we will bottle this game. Whenever we get our hopes up after other teams falter we fail.

Hopefully though we don't play Fred and McT and actually go for the win. They have had 48 hours less recovery than us so we need to keep tempo high and press them to death in first half and bury our chances. They don't score many either.

    I guess we shall see...

    Fair enough.

I think something may have got lost in translation.

I agree that we have to worry about them, and certainly hope the players are watchful.

They are dangerous if not taken seriously.
