God knows how Dan James saw out that 90 minutes. Pretty dodgy performance but you take it on a night where Spurs blow a 2 goal lead against a Croatian side.

Brilliant result, very professional performance in the 2nd half, in the draw for the quarter final, beautiful.

I think 'professional job' is the accepted phrase here.

Not a classic for the United annals but we're through

Much better second half, Pogba obviously very influential in that but we were just a lot less harried and sloppy in general and didn't give it away with every opportunity.

Pogba the difference tonight.

Defensively we were very good, but our attack looks way off the pace and we are struggling to get any patterns going (that has been a theme for a while now).

First half was lacklustre, but second half was fantastic. Pogba makes such a difference to our play. World class goal from a world class player.

I loved the way we saw out the game too. Keep the ball, buy fouls, counter when possible. That is how a top team sees out a 1-0 win. Well done to Ole and the boys!

Happy days, and now to prepare to draw Roma or Arsenal tomorrow. We’ve already taken Milan and Sociedad out though, so why not them?

Loving that draw tomorrow. Don't care who we get. I just hope that Arsenal draw Villarreal. That's all I ask. Emery deserves justice.

Nice win, but we need to step up. Still giving the ball away too much and a better team would have made us pay. Hopefully we get a decent draw tomorrow.

Job done! How we've missed you Paul. Now if we could also get some semblance of a strike force back for the rest of the season, starting Sunday. Not sure what's going on with the sub situation by the way? That's one sub in 2 games now.

Great result. Pogba much the best player after coming on. Lindelof and Maguire outstanding. Henderson very solid.

We must go on and win this damn competition now after all this feckin hard work! Hopefully get a more comfortable draw in the next round.

Shocking first half. Very poor going forward all game, with Bruno and James particularly wasteful.

Pogba changed the game and was MOTM, with Lindelof a close second (in fairness the whole back 5 defended really well).

Ole needs to be leaving the San Siro with Kessie's number, looks a brilliant player.

Made it hard for ourselves with that abysmal first half. Credit to Ole and the players for waking the feck up and putting a fine shift in in the end. The CBs, Hendo, Shaw and Pogba were all superb, Fred and McTominay redeemed themselves somewhat in the second half and overall I'm satisfied to have completed the recovery from a lacklustre first half.

Considering how the rest of the British contingent have struggled at this stage, with some kinder draws on paper it must be said, you have to be happy with progression and the grit we (eventually) showed.

Loved that we started on the front foot and pushed them hard.

kudos for Rashford coming out but he is defo not 100%

pogba is class

lindeloff and Maguire were class

midfield was solid

Daniel could have done better. That was a pk but he has a flopping reputation

Greenood will learn from this. Bit anonymous

Maguire has been absolutely outstanding for us recently, that was as good a defensive performance I’ve seen and he deserves a shit load of credit

the block at the near post was great, that and the block against West Ham I think were vidic like, just throwing the body at the ball.

Its so refreshing having a goalkeeper that will come out and claim the ball from a cross when the team is under pressure.

Embarrasing dive from Zlatan there at the end. Fecking excellent result, now get some players back from injury and we'll look way better.

First half performance was shocking. Second was better, still not great but Milan offered nothing. I'll take that result though every day, mind, considering the amount of injuries we have at the moment.

Awful first half. Okay second half. Not a great match, in fact quite dreary, but through nonetheless.

How did Kessie not get booked? He didn't do anything except kick everyone up in the air.

Not a great performance performance bar a couple of spells. Oh well. Through is through.

I know they're a bit shit under Jose, but glad that Spurs aren't in the mix. They would probably shithouse their way to a win against us if they were drawn against us and it would be intolerable.

Lindelof, Pogba and Fred all excellent tonight. Professional performance. Job done.
Fred good in second half, but not very good before the break. Have to mention Maguire as well, who was excellent together with Lindelöf.

Glad Ole heard some of us praying he would sub Rash for Pogba. It was clear he wasn't fit
Pogba - an abolute beast
Great game from Lindelof and also very classy performance from Hendo in couple of situations
