Great second half.

We were forcing it down the right the first half, probably as part of some tactic but it clearly didn't work. James + AwB + McT isn't a particularly strong attack. Pogba changed the game with his hold up play + the goal.

Luke Shaw utterly dejected with our performance in the post match interview. Looks very downbeat. Good to see.

Oh my goodness. The class shown by Pogba!! Big moments, big players stand out. To have the composure to score that was unbelievable.

Would James have scored that? I doubt he could have done it against the trialist teams.

Remaining teams:

Dinamo Zagreb
Arsenal
Manchester United
Roma
Ajax
Granada
Villarreal
Slavia Prague

Wow, if we avoid the Spanish bunch plus Ajax in the next draw it would be awesome, but aside from Arsenal we should be beating the rest easily over two legs, not that Arsenal are better than us but they would be the toughest.

We eliminated Real Sociedad and AC Milan, 2 very tough opponents, we deserve and easy draw next round

Pogba completely transformed the side and obviously got the winning goal. Big result and with the teams left we should 100% be favourites.

Doesn’t matter. By this time April 15th, we’ll be out of all cup competitions

We have a mini crisis up front but once again we grinded out a win. Delighted for the team.

Wish Pogba was fit throughout the season, the gap to City would've been much closer. The moment he scored, I knew we were through. That goal gave us belief and our entire midfield's passing magically became better. Our starting front 6 need to learn composure. They were much better second half, but we can't keep giving halves away.

But composure was in spades in the defense though. The back 4 were fantastic throughout and Dean makes another case of being our no. 1.

Anyone but Arsenal/Roma please. Just once give United a good draw.

Looking at the draw tomorrow , we are the team to avoid.

On Paper we look the strongest team left in it But paper is one thing, doing it on the pitch is another. But we should be looking at winning this out now. We need to get back in the habit of winning things.

What a win. Pogba being back now is going to be so important. Scott, Fred, Lindelof and Maguire played it perfectly through out that second half and has to be said, Henderson stepped up when called upon on, same directed header and from Zlatan of all people. Buzzing for him and the whole team.

Luke Shaw admitting the players and coaching staff think their performance tonight was awful. Refreshing to hear they don't see that as an acceptable performance and that we need to do better, but I guess the result is what matters most. Good to see.

Red Card for Casemiro!
Milan away might be the toughest opposition we face in the EL, and we did so without Cavani, Martial, and Pogba/Rashford for half the game.

Excellent win, I loved the performance bar the lack of technique from some of our players. W need to keep Pogba, and strengthen our starting XI, especially at right wing.

Ole has beaten City, Liverpool, PSG, Leipzig, Milan this season. Not bad for a PE teacher.

I always like honesty from our players and Ole with our performances. In particular because you’ll get a few on here throwing out sarcastic quips at people who criticised the performance during the game as if the win negates the whole game. Clearly the players and Ole weren’t happy with the first half and that’s good.

Give Milan credit, they're a bloody tough opponent. Remind me of a Simeone side in some ways, technically gifted but built on a foundation of rigorous tactical drilling, running and physical aggression. Meité and Kessié are a fecking formidable pair in midfield, I don't blame McTominay and Fred for struggling, especially with Bruno all over the shop in front of them.

Why are people saying first half was bad. It was under our control. You don’t have to have 10 clear chances to be in control. Never felt Milan could do anything except 1-2 counter attacks. People need to think deeper and outside the box.

Great tacticly and well played game. Deserved win.

Great result! It looked like we were going nowhere fast at half time, but Pogba introduction (injury enforced I assume?) really gave us that spark that was needed. Great finish for his goal and he had some other nice moments too. It was a bit nervy at the end but bar 1 or 2 moments they didn't have mnay big chances.

Delighted to be through to the quarter finals. This was probably the toughest team left, so we should be clear favourites from now. That's not to say it'll be easy as we always seem to be o be make it difficult for ourselves.

What is strange is none of our forwards are on form this season, yet we are not doing very bad in terms of results.

No, but to be fair more controlled by us than by them. 1-0 is an accurate representation of the balance of the game. Tight but we deserved it in the end.
It was 15ish minutes from the goal til Zlatan. I do agree we deserved the match, but by nothing we did in the first half. On balance, we were the better team in the second half & did earn the victory that way.

I know they're a bit shit under Jose, but glad that Spurs aren't in the mix. They would probably shithouse their way to a win against us if they were drawn against us and it would be intolerable.

I think some (including myself) were a little disappointed that having started so well in the first 10 minutes, playing really fast and with our FBs pushed right up the pitch and creating plenty of chances, we seemed to just give up when it didn't lead to a quick goal, and willingly slow our tempo and sit further back.

That said I thought overall we were good enough. Not our best performance but you have to take into account how good Milan were - lots of top sides would also have struggled to be dominant or score a load against such a rigorous, tight performance.

Because it was fecking terrible. Milan had 56% possession, they had more shots, they looked like the more dangerous teams - and all that with the onus being on us to score because they were ahead on aggregate. We looked disjointed, out of ideas, kept giving the ball away in midfield...

Pogba's goal changed the game, thankfully. Knocked the stuffing out of Milan and gave us a bit of confidence.

Lindelof, Maguire, Wan Bissaka, Pogba all excellent. Only sub par aspects were from the attackers, Greenwood needs to get much better at finding space for himself in the middle of the pitch, he's out wide too much leaving nobody in front of goal. And Rashford, was he injured? Completely anonymous.

Good, disciplined performance.
We're through. Who's the hardest team left? Because that's 100% who we will draw haha

What impressed me is we did not sit back deeply to defend the lead, unlike what we would have done under Mourinho.
