Do you really think Glazers care at all?

That's more damage to the team, not to the Glazers.
Yes. They will care if we start disrupting the team. Disruption to the team equals unfulfilled sponsorship commitments etc. I'd take that a few seasons in the wilderness of League 2 coming back up, rather than having these fecking cockwombles at the club a second longer.

Players come and go. Teams change. There is only one Man Utd.

Souness just proving what a massive twat he is. United fans were complaining about the Glazers at the height of success in 2010. He hasn’t got a clue how they bought the club, the fact the investment in players was a reaction after we had slid so far from the very top. Typical Liverpool supporting bias.

Souness is either on the WUM or horribly out of touch with Football
Yep.

Whether we agree on whether this protest is "great" or in my opinion, appalling, we can all agree that Sourness is totally ignorant to what's going on here.

My only problem is if that they broke any windows, we'd have to actually get the glazers in.

Souness with the unpopular opinion, but he's absolutely correct. Glazers have invested billions into the club, of course they want a return. Fans are running based on emotions alone.

Improvements to the stadium???

The only improvements were the quadrants in 2005 that were already started when they arrived.

Have you ever been to Old Trafford? I can’t imagine any proper supporters being against this. They’ve bled the club dry and refuse to invest in our stadium.
So I guess I can't have an opinion because I'm not born right outside Old Trafford? Deal with it that we support the same club, a global club, and United have fans all over the world.

Do you often try to personally get to any fan who doesn't agree with you? Hey, I'm a Manc and he's from fecking Poland!

Yes they do. This is exactly how we get them out. Its absolutely ridiculous to think that we can protest financially, you must be absolutely thick if you thick we could organise an economic protest.

This is the only way.
Ok then explain it to thicky like me how does this get them out?

For a lot of the fans protesting this is more than just the game or this season. Even next season for that matter. Its a matter of getting the identity of the club back.

This is a working man's club and some have reached an irreversible tolerance now where they will act on pure emotion to make themselves heard.
Back to when we were a PLC with owners who agreed to sell us to Murdoch?

This protesting is all well and good, but I put a tenner on a Cavani hattrick, I want my money.

Gary Neville has done a fantastic job against the ESL, but he continues to repeat untruths that the clubs tried to leave their leagues and destroy promotion and relegation. Just blatantly making it up, again and again.

And feck Souness.

I'm almost impressed at how many times Souness was wrong within the space of 60 seconds just there.

He'd fit in well with a few in here this afternoon.

This thread is full of massively disappointing fans and also fans who care. Im amazed at just how many are so prudish and cuckold. Some of you need to spend a few hours googling history, protesting and how its played a massive part in improving things in society.
So many on here seem to think a mildly irritated telling off is the "correct" way to behave.

Just feck off already you simpering sycophants.

Criminality does not equal protest. Stand outside and let your voice be heard. But don't break into the stadium and commit vandalism. That is not protest, it's embarrassing scumbaggery.
I have no problem with breaking in, provided no damage is done. I won't condone any kind of violence or destruction, but the break in is certainly worth supporting for me. Civil disobedience is one of our last remaining options.

Neville focuses on the Super League far too much. There are far greater outrages with the glazers

I struggle to see this ending well.

The Glazers won't quit over one game so this sort of intervention would have to be a sustained pattern.

The best-case scenario under such a prolonged battle of attrition is the Glazers gone but Man Utd set back by several years.

a. The club would lose points from repeated breaches of whatever codes govern these sorts of matters, which might mean missing out on Europe.
b. This would lead to additional loss of revenue in addition to covid hardship, and no good players will be joining. A few of the current good ones will leave.
c. Man Utd will plunge back into mid-table obscurity. The Glazers may or may not decide to divest. If successful, the Glazers will be forced to leave some way...but they won't go empty-handed. They would take as much from the club as they could on their way out, leaving a paucity of funds.
d. The new owners would either be similarly wealthy capitalists with dubious intentions or would attempt to recover organically or rely on debt to finance recovery.

At best, the club ends up in mid-table obscurity for a few years and recovers eventually. By this time, however, the financial power of Man Utd 's brand could have waned considerably,a nd the behemoth is no more.

Unless they can do this every week for the rest of the season and the season beyond this means nothing. Fair play to them if they can do it.

Else, the Glazer's won't even bat an eyelid. What this achieves is that the players get ruffled before an important match and fear for their safety.
Well, we’ll see if they can. Green and Gold went on for a while, let’s see if they can stay the course.

If we are postponing can we have it tomorrow? Our players get an extra day rest. Everyone wins.

The anti slavery protest didn't succeed at first. Every protest takes a while to succeed. This is the first time all fans have been united against their respective owners.
Good on the fans for protesting. If United wants they can instantly stop it by getting SAF or Ole to the stadium and asking them to stop it for now.

Totally disgusting imo.

Breaking and entering into OT is a crime. This is not peaceful protesting.

it is all totally wrong in the way the fans have gone about it

Exactly. When was the last time a peaceful protest achieved anything groundbreaking?!

The sad fact of the matter is that placards and marches don’t achieve results.

Carragher’s got it absolutely right. This is more than the ESL. It’s what they’ve been doing over their whole tenure taking money out of the club filling their own pockets.
