How's Penaldo going to get on with Penandes then in same team then  ? Doesn't really work well for Portugal?

Seriously though good signing, will be interested to see Ole deal with having a super ego in the side though. Martial and Cavani won't play much?

How will Utd line up with him ?

Looking forward to see him play in premier League once more.
I think Martial's career here is done to be honest. I'd imagine we'll line up something like:

De Gea
AWB - Varane - Maguire - Shaw
McTominay - Fred
Sancho - Fernandes - Pogba
Ronaldo

Still think that midfield is lacklustre but very, very hard not to dream big after signing Ronaldo  I feel like a giddy teenager again.

Can he play as a CDM? I've heard pointless signing unless we get a CDM.

Great signing. He's a winner, and the team lacks that edge. His experience will be vital if we're going to mount a title challenge, over and above what he can contribute on the pitch.

He's a short term answer but when players of this calibre become available, it's a no-brainer.

As an aside the way in which the transfer business has been handled has been excellent. Far better than previously.

Fecking hell. I didn't read any transfer news all day and come back to this. Yesterday he was practically a City player. WTF?

A SG spokesperson said:

“Ministers work closely with CMAL and are grateful for the hard work of their board and staff to help support our ferry network.

“An independent review of the current legal structures and governance arrangements around the provision of ferry services is already underway. Transport Scotland, CMAL and David MacBrayne Limited are committed to and actively engaged on this work.

“The purpose of the project is to reflect on the governance arrangements between the three organisations, in regards to the overarching objective of effective, efficient and economic delivery of lifeline ferry services to enhance passenger experience and support the local island economies.”
I honestly still can't believe. Crazy. We slept yesterday with him going to City, woke today to find him joining United.

Cristianooooooo. Man I am at the Newcastle home game. I will be there which he is pencilled in for this first game. And we will be going absolutely mental!

My son’s at Leeds and I’ve just had a 5 minute conversation with him, trying to read the statement to him because his phone signal’s not good enough to get anything other than calls, and all he’s said in that 5 minutes is “you’re lying….you’re lying….” over and over again.
I’ve told him to get a Viva Ronaldo chant going when Liam Gallagher’s on tonight.

Spectacular deal for sure, but I am not as convinced as most here that this was a good idea. Ronaldo, Pogba, Bruno - not exactly players who deliver great effort in pressing and tracking back. Our midfield is not really that great in producing chances out of open play.
Hopefully I will be wrong and scream his name at the telly a lot of times this season.

F*ck all of you who talked down on him with some falty rumours about a move to City.

As Rooney said - Ronaldo will not move to City.
