Rumor has it McKennie slept with a teammate’s sister. Only teammate’s sibling he follows on Instagram is Pulisic’s sister, supposedly.

If, and I know this is a big if, that was the case, it kinda looks better. She’s more or less in the bubble - you know she’s already been around her brother.
that is fake....

he left the bubble in nashville and went out to this underground bar that is a massive soccer pub. He met a young lady there and brought her back to their hotel which was right across from the nissan stadium.

in essence....he replicated the foden story minus the video evidence

And now his pops is on Twitter claiming he was not alone but that he will not be snitching. Not helping dad, not helping. What a mess.

I do love how US Soccer Twitter was all giddy about video of GB jogging around downtown Nashville, maskless and inches from people in one of the most COVID dense areas in the world. Not the same but shows again that the powers must be protected.

Not in the manner in which they should given the platform they've have each match day especially Holden. Landon, Lalas and Twellman are puppets for the the national team and rarely criticize performances or the manager or hell even the player pool selections.

I mean seriously how does a guy like Zardes still exist within the national team structure? or a guy like Roldan? Acosta and Llegett wouldn't start for half of other teams in CONCACAF.

Questions need to be asked about player selection by GB and what they are doing to enhance the direction of the squad and player pool.

Why wasn't Pepi involved in any of these matches?

what a mess all around. My bet for tonight is another drab draw and Gregg still around for next window.

Read somewhere the British press went after Greenwood not Foden.

I'm in this lane. Cap ties him and good lord he can't be any worse than what we have seen.
the problem is we played the wrong number 9 in each game. Pofek shouldve started the first game that was more physical away, then had sarge in game 2 against canada at home where we couldve used him better up top. Just more examples of berhalter genius.

I am apparently addicted to US soccer podcasts, but there are some good ones out there. I can't remember if it was the guys at Scuffed or Allocation disorder, but they were making the point that Herdman said that he was listening to the media talk about how the US was having issues scoring and so his tactics essentially became: "Hey US, here is the ball, I dare you to do something with it". Berhalter was not ready for those tactics, as they were not the same as Nations League, and so his initial set up was woefully deficient in combatting the Canadians. He is also a stubborn ass and refused to change anything. His comment after the game when asked about the late subs: "everyone was performing to standards, so we didn't know who to take off" is terrifying.

they did but i wasn't going to mention him as he plays for United and Foden plays for City so he was the main dickhead behind the problem :)

Good start for Canada.

As I've mentioned, I'm from the UK and just 'cheer on' the US team from afar. I wanted the US to beat Canada, but I'm also reasonably pleased to see Canada gaining in strength as well - although I don't know, if I'm a US 'fan', if it's right to wish both well (i.e. is the rivalry between the football sides friendly or bitter?)

I'm imaging it's similar to most situations in that the 'big' team / traditionally more successful (USA in this case) won't be as much against their 'rivals' as the underdogs (Canada) are. For instance, here in the UK, many English people seem to actually want Scotland, Wales and Ireland to win matches for some reason - despite the fact most of those nations absolutely love to see England lose. I can imagine it being similar in US and Canada?

Anyway, a roundabout way of asking how 'bitter' the rivalry between US and Canada is in sport, especially Football?

I can't see Panama holding on, but that does not matter. I would like to think that a draw/loss tonight would instigate change but there is absolutely no way it does. GB is their man and they are going to ride that ship to the bottom, their roles depend on it.

Oh I think no way we fire Gregg either. But man if we are 7 points back of Panama that's a tough gap to make up already

Unless tonight is a roaring success (dominate US win) I guarantee we are going to hear 2 party lines coming out of US Soccer:

1. Oh noes, look at all the injuries! That is why we did so poorly (please do not look behind the curtain to see only Weah was out vs. ES. Pulisic was obviously fine, they just chose not to bring him out of arrogance)
2. Weston let the team down and it was a major distraction for the whole team (please don't ask why our coach was unable to do his jo and work around this)

I wouldn't say that Canadians are as fiercely anti-American as the Scots are anti-English. The relationship between the two countries is similar in some ways, though. It's pretty fierce when it comes to hockey, however, men's and women's (and juniors).

Well done to Canada tonight. We barely missed Alphonso, and Tajon Buchanan is a star in the making (relative to the level in CONCACAF, at least).

un fecking believable

He puts Adams at RB to fit 2 non ball playing MF's. This is the most defensive lineup I have ever seen us play. Like ever.

this lineup alone should get him fired. I don't care if we come back to tie/win this. The tactics are shocking

Back 5 and they still look lost but have to consider some of these players are playing out of position
they look like a team that has no idea what they are supposed to be doing. Possibly because almost every player is playing out of position in a formation they have never used?

Totally agree. They should have a numerical advantage somewhere in a back 3, usually the wings, but they are totally out of position. The lines are so flat and when they go forward, it is so disjointed.

This is an absolutely disgraceful performance top to bottom
I can't even be mad a the players right now. Looking through US Soccer twitter before the game no one could figure out what fecking formation we were going with. Looks like the players are confused too. This man is the worst coach we have ever had.

Gooch is preaching truth right now and Charlie is ready to rage.

As @Vanrouge stated earlier, there isn't too much animosity from Canadians to the U.S. On the other hand, half of the Americans respect Canada whilst the other half sees Canada as inferior and not worthy of being good no matter what they do.

Can we move the Canada talk to the Canada thread please? It's not you, it's me. Ya'll are so nice and I am so angry I might explode. Friendly fire and all that.

Back on topic: the subs are proactive on Berhalter's end, and they've all been good changes. John Brooks was atypically poor, and he had to go off. Lletget coming in and Acosta at right back is interesting, but at least the midfield will have some more energy and dynamism.

Romell Quioto is ensuring that Honduras aren't missing Alberth Elis too much. The U.S. are struggling to contain him so far.

Canada just defeated the U.S. on the way to winning olympic gold in women's soccer, that the U.S. was suppose to dominate. Canada just beat the U.S. at the women's world hockey Championsghip to win Gold. They tie the U.S. on the road in world Cup qualifing, 2 Canadians in the quarters of the U.S. open. No Americans left, MacEnroe was pissed. Been a good month here with relations to the U.S. It won't anything to Canadians as soon as the Leafs open training camp.
